How to be polite when turning people down

I've had offers from people who want to babysit my DD when I go back to work. Quite a few of them message me on Facebook offering. I know them, but I'm very protective (obviously) and I only want people I really trust with her. How should I say thanks but no thanks without sounding like a paranoid hovering mother?

  • "Thanks for the offer, but we currently already have childcare lined up! I really appreciate you offering and knowing that if anything ever comes up, I can ask you!"

Don't tell them you only trust certain people with her. NO ONE can force you to let them watch your child! :)
