OAD NBC 1st ever check in

Hi Ladies This is something I feel I need and there seemed to be a bit of interest from others. This will be a check in (although I can't guarantee it will be weekly) for those of us who would love to have another LO but can't either because our bodies won't cooperate or finances or whatever other reason IF hands us. It will be a safe place to vent and to heal. If you join I am sorry you have landed here but I welcome you all the same with hugs and thoughts of spring. QOTW: let's start with something positive...what's one thing you look forward to doing with your LO that you think you wouldn't be able to do if you had two?

I think this is a great idea.

QOTW: I have twins, so... ;-)
But if we were to have another, we'd possibly have to look for a new house. On the flip side, sometimes when one is sleeping, I just have one on one time with N or M. I really relish those opportunities.

Sidebar....is it ok for me to post on this check in? I realize I do have two, not one, but we ARE done due to being OOP (and DH not wanting to risk twins again)

Hey kaf! I really like the idea of having a place to heal. I am doing surprisingly well right now and I think that's because I have lined up a ton of things to keep me busy. We are leaving for vacation next week and are signed up for 2 half marathons, one in July and one in September. Running is therapeutic for me. I worry though that I'm not letting myself think about being OADNBC and just pushing the pain away. Unfortunately I know I'll have to fully deal with it at some point but right now is not the time.

QOTW: I think traveling especially internationally is something I'm excited to do with just one kiddo. Not nearly as much work as because we'll have 2 parents:1kid but also much more doable financially. Hopefully we can give C some really amazing experiences.

I too am thinking about the travel opportunities with having only one. Things we can do together and trips we can take once he's grown. I expect he won't live in the town we're in once he's an adult so we will be able to take the time we want to go visit him. 

I also am usually in denial and keep thinking in my head that maybe I will be PG again someday. We have our WTF next week and I am worried it will crush those dreams.
