Dumb Moby question

The fabric seems so wide where the tag is.  So when I go to wrap it around me, it gets loose.   Do any of you fold it in half?   It just seems so hard to put on.  I've been practicing, but I'm getting frustrated already and my baby isnt even here yet.

I'm gonna have to set aside a time each day and call it "Moby Wrap 101".  The lady on the video puts it on like its no big deal. Meanwhile I'm trying not to get tangled in a million feet of fabric.

Re: Dumb Moby question

  • lol Yes you're supposed to fold the whole thing in half before you wrap it. I'm chuckling a little bit visualizing someone putting it on the wide way.  :)  I can totally understand how that would be a little cumbersome! Then after you've wrapped it, you can pull that tagged piece up over the baby so it's wide again. The instructions don't really show very well that you need to fold it but yes that makes it much easier.

  • Ohhhh!  Gee whiz the lady on the video should have just said so.  here I am, with this wide fabric practically down to my knees.

  • Huh.....  Learn something new everyday.  I don't fold mine in half, but kinda bunch it up and then spread it out when the baby is in it.  I will try folding it and see if it is easier for me.  I was actually just practicing new holds today now that Ty is too big for the newborn hug hold...
    Nothing to see here....
  • Ditto, ABC. I scrunch around the middle. I sometimes folded before crossing over my shoulders if I wanted a pocket for certain carries, but later I also just scrunched over the shoulders.
  • youtube has tons of great how-to videos, FYI.  I didn't fold mine.
