Aww...Announcement Pic and a stupid question

Hey all,

So we had our 12 week appointment today and I am just in awe. Little one was jumping up and down and moving arms/legs. My DH wanted to announce so I gave in, below is the picture.

Once we announced my cousin who just got married in November announces that she is due the day before me. I know its stupid but of course I get emotional. We struggled and she gets pregnant that easily. Does this ever get easier?

You ladies have been amazing and I appreciate the support. Thank you for everything.

Announcements still sting for me. All of us have just been through so much to get to the same place that most people get to so easily. Give yourself some time to work through it all. ((Hugs))

Congrats! Even pregnant with baby #2 i am green with envy whenever someone announces, and accidents hurt me the most... I try to put up a front, but hubby and my sister always know... I would be lost with out them... I am sorry your cousin stole your thunder but at least she did it in a text not on your post... and maybe you can be excited to do this with someone, it is much better with a friend! good luck!

Love the picture! I'm sorry she stole your thunder. However it's awesome to have someone to go through this with. I am 8 weeks and my sister is 12. She hasn't had any IF issues. It's comforting when I can call her and compare notes. Especially when I am afraid or nervous about something and she can tell me it's normal. I've been so lucky to have her through all of this and couldn't be more thrilled to go through this next step with her. I hope your cousin can be the same kind of comfort.

So cute and sweet- your pups are adorable! I'm debating whether to announce next week- it seems that everyone's H feels like mine does. The secret is killing him!

I feel like your cousin should have let you have your moment. I would have been annoyed too, but I guess your baby has a playmate his/her age now?

Of course you know the answer, but as someone who already has one child from IVF, I still get bitter when people get pg so easily. I wa leaving my ET from this cycle and called my little sis, whose BFF answered, and basically vosmited that she and her DH - who had been married 3 hot months were 3 months pg. She thinks she got KU on her honeymoon. I wanted to throat punch her.

Cute picture, we we are waiting for our pics from the photographer to do our announcement.  I totally feel your annoyance, I feel slightly irritated when close friends tell me they are pregnant because of our IF struggles.  And I think your cousin should have waited a few days to let you have your moment, just for a little bit.

Congratulations and WELCOME! You have so much to look forward to.  

I just wanted to chime in with the thing I have learned from our journey with ART and IVF...what I learned is that DH and I chose to be very private with our journey. What I took away from this ended up helping me not to mind the little stings of every pregnancy announcement as much, because I always remind myself, "You never know their TTC or pregnancy journey. It could be like mine, and I just don't know it." On FB and social media, only 3 of my friends on there know about our journey. THREE. To everyone else, we would seem like that happy-go-lucky-jump-into-bed-and-got-pregnant couple. Just thought I would add that in.

This hits super close to home. We tried for three and a half years. We just found out that my brother in law has to have surgery on his testicle and that his count was only 4mil. My sister called and told me about it all. Lo and behold the week after I tell her we are expecting she tells me they are now expecting and their date is 6 days after ours. They kept going on about how it only took them a month and they had super low counts.. Wanted to run out of the room crying. As for your announcement I love it. Congrats. I don't think I'm bitter about people being pregnant anymore like I was. I just wish they would learn to appreciate it a little more.

how adorable!! and yeah definitely annoying to deal with hearing another announcement and like PP said..she seriously couldnt wait a day a least to announce hers? smh.

Jen that is an AWESOME u/s pic!!! SUCH a cute announcement! I'm sorry about your cousin....it still totally stings for me too. I just have to remind myself that we are finally here too and I shouldn't let it sting any more. (Doesn't always help, but you know lol) any way, enjoy this moment lady!!
