Sleep help

I hardly ever get a chance to get on here anymore, and this topic probably has been covered before so sorry in advance. A little background.... we moved into a new house the weekend after Christmas. My daughter's old nursery was our storage room before last May so we hardly ever went in there. This past winter when it got cold, it got really cold in her room. The windows were old and very drafty, but we never noticed it before because the room wasn't used. It was too cold for her to sleep in there, and knowing that we were moving soon we just let her sleep in our bed until we moved. (she was too long for her RNP and PNP was all packed with everything for the move) Before that she was sleeping through the night in her crib with no problem. Since we have moved we cannot get her back in her crib at night. She will nap all day long in there, but that's it. We have tried crying it out, but that doesn't work. She just gets super amped up and either makes herself throw up because she screams so hard or cries for 1.5 hrs non-stop. It's almost like she's scared of the dark, so we have tried lamps, toys that light up/glow, everything we could think of. Her dr said when they are teething it can be like this, but that sucks since it seems like she's been teething since she was 5 months old and she's 10 months now and still no teeth. I don't want to wait until these illusive teeth breaks through to get my bed back. Anyways, I'm just looking for something to help. Tips to help get her comfortable in her room at night, anything.  I know I shouldn't have let her sleep in our bed to begin with, but I swear when I have another baby, it won't ever know what our bed feels like. Thanks in advance.

Re: Sleep help

  • See my post: How Long Do I Do This.  We're having a rough time over here too. He's teething, trying to walk, babbling up a storm -  I think sleep is hard for him right now. We're going to keep trying though.
  • I've tried sitting in the rocking chair next to the crib, but she just stands up and screams at me the whole time. About 2 weeks ago, she laid right down and slept from 8:45-2:30 in her room, but obviously it was a total fluke because she hasn't done it since. I'm going to try the advice 5953fpp got in her post and hope for the best.
