Late Term and Child Loss

New here, advice for dealing with D&C

Hi ladies,

I'm new here... nice to meet you all, although I'm sad it's under these circumstances. After a surprise BFP Jan 16, and going through a roller coaster of emotions, we were so excited about our new addition. Then, at what should have been a routine OB visit, we found out yesterday (when I should have been 10w5d) that our baby stopped developing around eight weeks. My symptoms had been dwindling, but I chalked it up to nearing the end of the first trimester. We are so incredibly sad. Because of the time point, the doctor recommended that I go through with a D&C. I'm scheduled to have one tomorrow and was wondering if anyone could give me an idea what to expect in terms of pain, recovery, how long will I bleed, etc.

Thanks so much. Lots of love to all.

I'm so sorry for your loss and for having to go through a D&C.  I know some ladies here have had them that could help you with what to expect, but most of us here have lost later term babies or living children.  You might find more help with your question on the misscarriage/pregnancy loss board.

Again I'm so sorry for your loss.
