A friend of mine had her names picked out for her twins, she just found out its girls & their names wil be ... Ellie Mae & Tylar Jane ... Well, eh could be worse ?
Oy. Well, I like the middle names! Ellie is fine as a NN. I'm sure as a grown up when she introduces herself and gets asked "Oh, cute! What's that short for?" she'll get tired of it quickly enough.
-Signed, someone with a childish NN but thankfully a more formal given name.
My middle name is Tyler - "er" It's traditionally a boy's name, but it's not the same as naming a girl "George" or anything. I think it can go either way, so she might as well commit to the correct spelling. A cute girl can get away with it- not the same as naming a boy, a girl's name.

I actually prefer Taylor (if that's the name) to Ellie.
Enough with the Ellies. Can we get that printed on a t shirt or something?
