  • I feel like Tylar should be pronounced like Pilar, but with a T.

  • Oy. Well, I like the middle names! Ellie is fine as a NN. I'm sure as a grown up when she introduces herself and gets asked "Oh, cute! What's that short for?" she'll get tired of it quickly enough.

-Signed, someone with a childish NN but thankfully a more formal given name.

  • I actually prefer Taylor (if that's the name) to Ellie.

Enough with the Ellies.  Can we get that printed on a t shirt or something?

Is that supposed to be Tyler or Taylor? Also Ellie Mae reminds me of the girl on beverly hillbillies, wasn't her name similar to that?

Yikes.....Ellie Mae Clampett of the Beverly Hillbillies!  Cute girl in blond ponytails, with very little between the ears.
  • Yes, it could be worse both girls could have misspelled boy names~!
  • I legitimately thought "Why are they using Jane as a boy's middle name?"

...then I realized Tylar is for a girl.

  • My middle name is Tyler - "er"
It's traditionally a boy's name, but it's not the same as naming a girl "George" or anything. I think it can go either way, so she might as well commit to the correct spelling. A cute girl can get away with it- not the same as naming a boy, a girl's name.
