TTC after 35

New here, my intro

Hello all!  I’ve been lurking around for a couple of months now (under a profile from TK), and since we’re now getting serious with our RE, I figured it’s getting real and would get more involved.  A little history about my FI and me…  We’re both 43, no previous children.  Neither of us has been married before either, and we just got engaged at Christmas.  Since my baby clock is winding down faster than the marriage clock, we are putting off the wedding until we “sort out the baby situation” – be that ours, a donor’s or an adoption.

So, to be honest, we just started trying in December, but my sister (4 yrs younger) is also trying to conceive and having issues so I went to GYN for AMH test and since it’s so bad, she sent me right to an RE.  As of now I’ve just got my age going against me, no other issues fortunately.  But my RE has an awesome attitude and said to me again – that he can give me all the stats he wants, but my body is going to do what it wants…  I started acupuncture a couple of weeks ago, so before we really start doling out the money on IVF and/or DE, we’re going to try some less expensive methods (meds & TI).

I hope that I can join all of you in the journey….  Thank you for all of the information I’ve already learned from reading all of your posts.

  • Welcome.
I'm glad you have gotten good info from our board. Join the over 40 check-in on Thursdays. There are plenty of our members doing meds with TI so you have support. And if you move to IUI or IVF with your own or DE you will have support there also.

    Good luck
