Sippies

I am so darn tired of buying sippies that end up leaking everywhere. What sippies do you like?

While we're at it, anyone use trainer cups? We have one that also leaks. I've heard mixed reviews about that Wow cup...what do you use?

We use tommee tippee explora straw cups. My only complaint is that there's 4 pieces to the straw assembly it's rather confusing at first.

  • We use Zoli straw cups. They do not leak and the weighted straw is nice.  They are a PITA to wash and deal with though.
  • I spent a million dollars on one of those straw sippies that looks like a chicken. It swore it didn't leak, it had the weighted straw, and it was cute! Yeah, stupid sucker leaks. I'm reluctant to spend that kind of money on another one without talking to J12!

  • Yeah I'm kinda over straw cups. Such a pain to clean! I really want to move to trainer and then regular cups, but I think we'll need more sippies for the interim. Maybe this is a FC, but Em still gets a "bottle" before bed, which is actually a soft spout sippy that I hold while she rubs her blanket against her face. I'm not sure how to phase it out, but meanwhile we're down to two and they leak like sieves.

  • @jfresh‌ really? They leak for us. Well, to be fair, she pulls the lids off the ones you just pop on. And the screw on ones just leak. :(

  • We gave her a regular cup one day because I didn't feel like washing her sippy cup, and she's been drinking out of a regular cup since. Sometimes she'll spill her glass, but it's less work to wipe the floor than to wash a sippy cup.

  • @daniellesa1220‌ we have that. Like you said, the liquid gets trapped and it's annoying. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and try the wow cup next even though I'm suspicious it will also leak. That or the sassy cups @Bliz1712‌ suggested...maybe one of each.

I guess I'm really just lost on the sippies. I feel like nothing is truly leak proof!

  • DS never liked sippy cups, so we've been doing straw cups forever. The Playtex ones are okay, but I agree with other posters, they do leak. I've been reluctant to start regular cups because then it will just be spilling instead of leaking, lol.

  • I guess fc bc my kid only uses the nuby soft spout trainer sippie. He will use a straw if it's a smoothie but milk only on the sippy trainer.

We tried the avent cup but he figured out in 30 seconds that he could push down the middle and dump milk everywhere

  • @aimee223‌ they have the take and toss straw ones on amazon!

  • @breezyblueyez‌ same here. Then she says "mess?" and asks for a towel because she loves to clean. Very annoying, yet semi-adorable.

  • We have tried a ton of "leak proof" sippy cups that always end up leaking everywhere. This is the ONLY one that truly doesn't leak for us. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E0ICUFG/ref=oh_details_o01_s01_i07?ie=UTF8&psc=1
