Since Neveah (Heaven) is popular...and now apparently Legna (Angel)....can we please petition to start Susej (Jesus) as a new trend....because is sounds like sausage, and at least sausage is delicious.
We have two elementary schools right by our house (no idea why two are within a mile of each other) but they both have two big boulders out front. When it's your child's birthday, the parents can go decorate one of them with their name, age and like a baseball or something. Well since that started, everyone comments on the really bad ones. "Hey John, did you see this week's name? Yeah I know Wft is Brecklyn?" DS isn't in grade school yet but according to my neighbors with kids there, apparently parents who gave their kids youneek names do not opt to paint the boulder the next year and some won't at all. So now whenever someone in the neighborhood is preggers the names need to pass the "boulder test" ie would you be embarrassed painting your child's name for the neighborhood to see. I secretly hope some of these people live in my neighborhood because there hasn't been a doozy like those in awhile.
It's one thing to see the name posted on a board like this, but to see a birth announcement containing the name--so you KNOW it's real and spelled the way the parents intended--is just mind-blowing.
Poor Ledjend. I hope he can get a good nickname like LJ or something.

A friend of mine is a teacher. She has a boy in class this year named Semaj-with the parents insisting it's an old religious name. She didn't have the heart to break it to them that whoever told them this is an idiot, and apparently they don't realize that it's just James backwards (or they are hoping people don't notice...?)
ETA- I can't remember what religion her parents were insisting that the name was from
DS is Jackson and my father is always coming up with rediculious ways to spell it. Jax'shn was one of the worst ones. He thinks he is funny. Ill have to tell him about Jaxsin.
