I failed the 1 hour test by 2 points, so I have to take the 3 hour glucose test. Who's taken it? Does it suck? I keep hearing people say they threw up.

They didn't even offer me a 1 hour test. It wasn't too bad. I assume it's the same, sugary drink. They just take your blood 3 times.
Bring a good book or magazine. Definitely bring a snack with protein in your purse for when you finish. I felt a little woozy by the end of it, but didn't get sick. The snack helped!
I just took it back in January - I failed my 1 hour by 3 points. Honestly, it was fine. But, I echo the others saying to bring a snack to eat afterwards. And something to read while you're there - helps to distract from the hunger.
Same advice as above. Definitely bring a snack to have immediately after. Also DO NOT throw it up when drinking it or before all the draws are done or they make you redo
I agree it really wasn't much different, except it lasted three hours instead of one. Honestly, it was great to have time to just sit and read for that long. Take a book I'd suggest, and sit back and relax for a few hours. I also had thrown up right before the 1-hr one, so that may be why the 3 hr was so much easier on me.
Even a minor event in
the life of a child is an event of that child's world and thus a world
event.
With DS I got very woozy with it, but with this pregnancy I did fine. See if they'll let you lie down in the back once you get past the 2nd hour, or go lie down in your car. Also, have snacks ready for when you're done so your blood sugar doesn't crash.
