Front Yard Play Structure

Is it rude to have a play structure like the one below just out in your front yard all the time? Our backyard is really uneven, muddy, and overrun by the dogs, so I don't want Robert playing out there. I want to get something like this, but it would have to just stay in the front/side yard. Is that unsightly and rude for neighbors? We have no room in our garage to pull it in and out, plus that would be annoying anyway. And while we're on the topic, does anyone recommend a particular one of these things?

Re: Front Yard Play Structure

  • It wouldn't bother me, our backyard is tiny but our front yard is huge, I debate fencing it in and putting a swing set up. If you don't have a HOA I say go for it!

  • Wouldn't bother me at all.

  • I would take my cues from other neighbors- do they leave stuff in their front yards?  I, too, would be nervous about it being stolen.

  • We have a similar one (we have the sports climber). I don't see a problem with it. I guess it depends on how snobby your neighbors are, lol.

  • I probably wouldn't leave it out in the front yard full time because no one else on our street has anything out front and I would also be worried that it would get messed with (we live near a middle school with lots of kids who walk home).

I would say the side yard would be better than directly in front, but it really probably depends on your particular neighborhood.
