Headache Relief?

Over the past week or so I have had headaches that are lasting hours. I try having a snack hoping it helps but I get no relief. I want to avoid any medication, even those deemed safe for Baby. Do you ladies have any suggestions of things I could do to help? The worst is when I get one in the middle of my work day (I'm a 6th grade teacher so they happen frequently).

Beware if you are looking for "natural remedies" such as herbs, essential oils, etc. Some of them are far less safe than just taking Tylenol.

I'm a teacher as well and frequently get headaches too. I occasionally take tylenol just to help me get through the rest of the day, and then lay in a dark room with an ice pack on my head when I get home. Good luck!

Make sure you check your blood pressure. Debilitating headaches can be a sign of complications, but not usually until after 20 weeks.

Call your OB both for relief and questions. I'm sure it's a regular migraine/headache but better safe than sorry.

 Make sure you're staying hydrated.  Could you be having caffeine withdrawal?  I don't know if you're drinking caffeine, but sometimes having a little can help with headaches.  If you look at OTC medications like excedrin, they add in caffeine because it can help relieve headaches.

I haven't been drinking caffeine. I never really did before my pregnancy either. I have an appointment coming up so I will definitely talk to my doctor. I've also messed up my sleep pattern by napping too much so I am trying to battle though. Pregnancy is definitely not rainbows and butterflies lol

caffeine is the only thing that takes the edge off for me.
