Faint positive STILL not getting darker - can't find an answer

I've seen a lot of posts about faint positives up to around 14dpo. But I'm more like 21dpo and still not changing. A digital was positive, so I know I'm not just imagining the line. And I've used 3 different brands, all faint (target, ept, wondfo), and mostly FMU. My doc told me to test again in a week and then she'll do blood if it's still faint. I'm not having a lot of pregnancy symptoms, but I'm currently breastfeeding my 8-month-old so I don't know if that affects things. I'm not having any spotting or cramping either though. Sigh. Anyone have this experience? (Even if it ended sadly. The waiting is torture)

  • Thanks, I had never heard of the CBE with weeks. I wonder if you can buy them at a regular drug store or have to get online

I would look for a new doctor if yours isn't smart enough to understand that urine pregnancy tests are yes/no and the darkness of the line means absolutely nothing.

Maybe her doc just wants to help reassure her?

OP, my lines were very slow to get darker. It drove me crazy and I spent way too much money POAS. GL to you!

Yay, let's waste a money and run up medical claims because some twit doesn't understand how pregnancy tests work!!! That way everyone can pay more in premiums next year because this doctor is a fucking moron!!!!

Oh, and mine never got darker. He's 3, so I'm going to go with all was well.

Gotta go with that motherly instinct sometimes right? haha
  • Ah okay! I'm glad other people had the always light line problem too! We moved right after my son was born, so I only met this doc once to get a post-partum check. Seemed nice enough, but I don't know much about her. I'll keep you posted on Maybe Baby #2...

  • So I ended up getting blood levels (not for reassurance - being transferred to a high risk OB for unrelated reasons, and they require blood or ultrasound confirmation before first appointment). It was about 9000. Everyone was right - I was worried for nothing! Now I'm worrying about this unending pelvic pain instead. Hopefully after the ultrasound this week, I'll chill out for a while!
