Sorry I've been scarce.  Lots of things happening all at once both with DS and with the pregnancy.  I probably should catch you guys up.

In the past couple weeks I've had the eval, acceptance meeting and IEP writing (my first time!) for a program for 2+ year olds with our local school system.  Everyone speaks so highly of the program, and it is free (finances are a HUGE consideration for us).  DS got into the program and starts on the 24th.  I'm nervous about the big change, especially in light of some other big changes coming for him in the coming months (baby sister and dad returning from deployment), but excited that he'll be getting 15x the time with people trained to help him.  It's a half day program and only goes on during the school year.  Not really looking forward to having to get him, myself and baby sister out the door on time to get him there (and pick him up) during her nb stage, but we'll make it happen.  

DS has been doing well lately developmentally.  His receptive language is getting even better.  He followed a 2 step direction for the first time the other day!  He just seems to be 'getting' things, if that makes sense.   Both language comprehension-wise, and also conceptually (ie he figured out how to hitch up a trailer to one of his trucks).

They did, but only if i sent him in the pm. That session was *exactly* at his nap time. They called to tell me the school/time he got the day after a missed nap/really horrendous evening. I asked if they had a morning slot. Anywhere, lol. It should just be until mid-June. FX that come Sept he will be in the school s mile from our house...being late in the school year we had to take what we could.

Honestly though, he is only 2 and non-verbal. I dont know tired as may be with à nb a couple months from now...i dont know that I could put him on the bus.

Those are great developments. Good luck with the transition, I hope it makes a huge difference!

That is wonderful! I know the logistics of 2 seems overwhelming but you will get in a routine quickly! DS1 was in a daily speech program 45 minutes away when DS2 was a newborn and it was tough in the beginning but we quickly found a grove!

Sorry to be a dirty lurker ladies Junebug I just wanted to poke in and say I'm glad to hear you've had some positives in your life lately. Thinking about you lots and excited for your little girl to arrive!

I guess since the OP I have even more news. I got a call and his ABA eval will be NEXT WEEK! There were 2-6 month waits everywhere I called, but he only had to wait a few weeks! Guy said it was bc i want AM for him (naps in afternoon), and morning is when they have openings bc of the demand for after school services.

Also @mightymousy‌, good to see you! I need to do an update on PgAL about this pregnancy. Me have a pg w/o complications...yeah, right! Big day of appts today, including an ultrasound, and I did the L&D tour (with DS in tow, fun times).
