Help!!

edited March 2014 in Baby Names
DH & I just fight about naming this boy. I won't give my choice to sway anyone my way. My son from my previous marriage is named Blake. Our last name is the same as the late lead singer of The Doors. Chosen MN will remain for family reasons.

We want a 1 syllable name to go with the 3 syllable last name. If you have other ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Please help me!! TIA!

FWIW, I think they're both good names. I think I prefer Jace because Kade David reminds me of Craig David.

  • Thanks for the input. I just can't find a name that makes my heart smile. My first son's name came to me very easily and I knew it was right from the moment I heard it.

This one is SO impossible. Sigh

Anyone have other thoughts?? I have tossed around Rhett. DH's grandmother is Margaret so Rhett would make her day! I'm trying hard to make it one syllable and fit well with Blake.

I'm ready to go cry in the corner. This LO will be here next month... It may go home a John Doe...how sad.
  • Voted neither, but Jace is much better than Kade.

  • I love Jace.  One of my top names but DH doesn't think it's right for us.

    What about Zane, Smith, Reid...

Yes!  Rhett is a fantastic choice, it blows away Jace and Kade.

Rhett David is very nice, and you'll get family points too!

Thanks for all the suggestions! They help!!

  • I like Rhett, esp because it has some meaning.

Lots of good suggestions from pp's. I suggest Jay. I have a friend whose son is named Jay, and it suits his funny and smart personality. They call him Jay Man. I am really fond of the name.
