I'm 28 weeks, and I understand that I'll swell a bit in the last trimester. How much is "normal" swelling versus at a point where I need to tell my doc about it? My fingers are swollen a bit where it's a bit hard to push in my rings, but I can still put it on and take it off. And I did notice that my feel swell at the end of the day as well. I wasn't too worried about it until one of my coworkers said she could notice that my feet and ankles are swollen. Are there any testing docs do to figure out if I'll be at risk of having preeclampsia? My doc hasn't asked me anything about swelling or talked about preeclampsia yet.
Re: "Normal" level of swelling?
Talk to the doc, and they can check your urin for protein, and let you know...
For what its worth, my bp was NEVER elevated, i was Dx with pre-e but not till 41.5 weeks...
Good luck!
Started TTC in 2006, LOTS of trying, and trying, and 7 rounds of IVF with 13 embryos, 2 perfect little boys and 5 loses....
All finished with babies, started to make diet changes, Keto, to be MORE for my kids, lost 30 pounds, still going, and 3 months in, I had a natural cycle, and then ovulated... Hubs and I are going to see what happens now... Maybe a natural pregnancy? After everything we have been through? Or just a return to normal hormones? We shall see what the future holds!
Baby Dust To All!!!
I would still mention swelling to your dr. at the next appt
