Am I supposed to sterlize sippy cups?

Just wondering what others are doing.  I am trying to work on transitioning DS to drinking breast milk from a sippy cup.  Do any of you ladies know if we are supposed to sterilize the sippy cup parts if they are touching milk?  DS likes the ones with straws for water so we might go that route with milk too.  TYIA for your help.

I never sterilized any of DD's stuff.  So my vote is no.

My LO drinks BM from a straw cup at home and daycare and I don't sterilize it. I soak it with my pump parts in hot water and sometimes put the actual straw part in when I steam clean those but not every day.

I sterilized our bottles once when they were new but have not done it with any sippy cups.

I haven't sterilized anything since the first use of the bottles.
