Moms with 2nd or 3rd shift jobs, ? about daycare

i was once a working mom, became a SAHM, and now i'm back at it! i'll be working a 2nd shift job so we have to put LO in daycare. do you put your LO in full time daycare even though you are on a 2nd or 3rd shift? or do you put her in a part time program? I would like to know your schedules because I am trying to find the right balance of spending time with my LO and sleeping for work. Thanks!

What time will you get off at night?  If it is early enough to get a decent amount of sleep before LO wakes up in the morning, you would probably only need part time care.  You could drop her off mid-day before work and DH could pick her up when he gets off.

What hours will you be working? If its say 3-11, I would drop off at noon. Even if you don't really need to leave til 2, you don't want to screw up he nap schedule. So you could do daycare from 12-5 or whenever your DH can pick up. Then you could get a nap in before work too or use the time to run errands/ do chores.

My shift is 2:15 to 10:15 but it consists of a lot of overtime

Our center doesn't offer pt. I work noon to eleven pm. I drop her off at 11. She's able to get a half hour of playtime before lunch and then nap. Because I work Sunday thru Wednesday, she generally only goes three days a week, however it's nice to have the option to drop her off for a couple hours at daycare on my days off.

I work 10:45 am to 11:15 pm, three days a week. Daycare does offer PT. I drop him off at 10:30 ( it's right next to my job) and DH picks him up that evening. DS is in bed when I get home. But it works ok since it's only 3 days a week. 

How many days a week do you work and what specific hours?
