Welcome to Ladies In Waiting. This is a group designed for all the ladies in the various stages of waiting after a loss: waiting to miscarry, waiting for AF to arrive, waiting to TTC again, and waiting for a BFP. Since this process is such a true test in patience, it is nice to have the support and friendship of other women going through similar experiences and emotions. 

-Check in is every Thursday - New members: Post an intro and your current TTC status. - Current members: Post updates, link to your chart, upcoming appointments, prayer requests. - Weekly check-in's will include an inspirational quote or verse and a question of the day (QOTD).

Please do not worry if your name is not on the check in, I only put those that participated in the previous check in. Please make sure that if you get a BFP to PM me. I try to check PGAL, but sometimes I may miss it.

DH and I agreed to take TTC on a month-to-month basis.  Since there are so many things that are going to be coming up in the coming months, we decided it would be best to evaluate our situation each CD1 to see how we feel about TTC.  I'm happy with that plan - happier than just waiting a full year...  I'm doing pretty good this week. Finally feeling ready emotionally to TTC, which was a big step for me.

Meh, temp drop last two days. AF is probably coming soon. Totally sucks. I thought it would be neat to get pregnant right after Ana's birthday. Though of course my mind is playing games, like it could be an implantation dip! lol..yeaaaah.

I'm not sure... I don't really know mythical creatures very well.

Hello ladies!  Thanks for the check-in @megrae12. 

Things are good.  I wanted to have sex last night but we were finalizing the paperwork to have solar panels installed on our house and what was supposed to be over before I got home at 7pm wasn’t over until almost 10pm.  Then I had to pay bills and do some other stuff so by the time I went to bed, there was no chance – hoping to remedy that tonight J

Freaky, random story – as we were just about to fall asleep last night, stuff that I haven’t touched in over a month just randomly fell off of the top shelf in my closet making a huge ruckus and causing both of us to sit up in bed and scream.  And then I collapsed in a fit of laughter for like 5 minutes.

QOTW:  I would want a dragon – because no one would dare come on my property without permission and it could fly me places when I wanted to get there quickly.

DH got an offer for the Chicago, but it was seriously underwhelming.  DH is still talking to them but I'm pretty sure we're going to turn the offer down - which sucks, a lot.  I'm bummed about the situation, because I really really really want to move closer to home.  But, not taking this position doesn't mean that other opportunities won't present themselves, so I'm trying to stay patient and positive.  I was pretty darn mopey about it yesterday, but doing better today.

At least my body is cooperating, so I'm thrilled about that.  My signs are lining up, with 2 days of elevated temps.  One more day and FF can confirm ovulation, but I'm pretty convinced I ovulated.  So on to the 2ww.....

@morethansparrows08  I'm so glad you and YH came to a TTC plan that you both can feel good about.  My heart hurt for you if it was going to be pulled off the table for a whole year.

Hi megrae!  Thanks for the checkin. 

I'm all ready for 3/10; moreover, I am ready for AF and a fresh start.  Every day seems different -- a rollercoaster of emotions.  Today is a so-so day.  I started my morning in Court and the security would not let me into the building because I had a bottle of water and refused to believe I was an attorney even though I had proper ID (it's a weird local rule that attorneys can bring in water).  I was there to provide pro bono services to the Court ... like I have done every month for the past 5 years ... so that really set me off.  It's funny, that sort of thing would have never stuck with me before this TTCAL process, but today it did.

I am trying to get in a better headspace for next cycle, understanding that right now, if things aren't perfect my emotions are excessive.  My usual day is just filled with stress, anxiety and desperation all rolled into one cluster!@#$.  It's funny, because the first cycle after my loss I felt pretty normal.  But I guess I was really buying into the idea that the second cycle after loss would be/should be perfect.  Does that make sense?  I give all the ladies who have been at this for much longer so much credit for staying sane.

 

QOTW:  It'd be pretty badass to have a Phoenix at my beck and call.  Plus, they are pretty much immortal so I could have it forever!

hmmmmmm......I never thought of a color for my dragon....DH would be opposed to pink; I don't want anyone to confuse a purple dragon with Barney the Dinosaur; white would show too much dirt; I guess I'll just go with boring dark dark green (almost black)

Last week I bottomed out in depression - AF showed up for reals on Friday, same day SIL had her baby, so I had baby stuff coming at me from all angles all weekend long. I'm doing better now. Decided to join Curves (since I can't stick with working out anywhere else) anticipating that the RE will want me to lose some weight as part of our treatment plan. Two workouts down and I'm feeling a bit better!

QOTD: I totally would want a dragon as a pet, better than a guard dog any day!!! And dragons are awesome. I'd want one like Toothless!

@MoreThanSparrows08 - I really like your month-to-month plan, if things don't turn around soon for DH and I, I might steal that idea! Sounds like it takes the long term pressure off a little and keeps good communication lines open.

@racegurl87 - GL and FX that you get a + soon and that going out of town lines up with FW for you, could make your trip loads more fun, right?

@ToriGirl2014 - first, I love that TB turned your cluster comment into a clicky email address! I'm sorry your emotions are so extreme right now - I know how that feels. Last week I came to a point where I just had to stop fighting it and let the emotions be what they needed to be... it seemed to bring the intensity down a few notches after the initial wave passed (although there were a few more waves after the big tidal wave, kwim?). Be gentle with yourself, it takes time and you're doing amazing.

I am so going to have to keep y'all around as y'all are good for my ego with all the you're awesome comments I am so sorry about bottoming out. It sucks a lot. I really understand that. So many ((Hugs)) I am glad to hear you are doing much better and that you joined Curves! I know for me, working out helps to get some the of the anger and frustration out. Hopefully it will help you as well. I LOVE Tootless!! He is my theme on my computer, lol. I might be a tad bit obsessed but he makes me smile when I am  having a bad day.

Still waiting to TTC.  Still bleeding from the loss of Claire on 2/17/14.  Dr. gave us the green light to start trying in just a few months and even said that if I got preg before then that more than likely we would be fine.  Dr. said that since my chart had chorio infection written all over it they probably would not offer me a cerclage this next time around.  He said he doesn't think I have IC, just got an infection and it traveled to my placenta.  Still, I am nervous to have it happen again.  He also said chances of chorio again were very slim but I have read where people have had it again.  He told me to stop researching because it will just give me fears but I can't help it.  I need to know.  I do not want to bury another child.  Wouldn't it be nice if we could have crystal balls that actually did tell us the future on things we wanted to know?  Take out the guesswork?

Hi, welcome! I am very sorry for the loss of your sweet Claire.  I am sorry you are still bleeding love. Did your doc give you any idea when that should stop? I agree with your doc that researching can bring about more fears than what you need right now. I understand that you need to do it, so please just make sure you do not take what you read as gospel, ok? If I could predict the future on TTC, I would have already been pg again. Unfortunately, we cant, so we need to be able to roll with it. Cliche, yes, but it's the truth. Please allow yourself to grieve and feel what you feel. Take time for yourself, make sure you are talking to your H about all of this. I hope you are able to come to a place of peace, know it will take a while. So many ((Hugs)) love and we are here for you.

I'm doing alright. I'm on CD 36 since the m/c and still waiting for AF (although I'd prefer a BFP instead!). I took a HPT on 3/1 and got a BFN. I'll probably take another one on Saturday. I honestly don't even know when to expect AF since I only had 1 AF since conceiving DS (and I'm still BFing once a day). My cycles average 32 days. I guess we'll just wait and see!

I am doing pretty good, thanks for asking! FX AF shows up soon. Remember that your cycle after a loss can be very wonky and it can take AF a while to show up. FX for you, hun.

@kristindmiller - I think about that at times too.  I wish I cld see the full picture instead of the tiny pieces I am handed.  I think that is where faith is supposed to step in.  But it can be so hard.  You've def been on my mind/heart since reading your intro story.  Sending you hugs and try not to worry.  One of my favorite quotes is "Encourage your hopes not your FEARS".  Don't give them power; remain hopeful.  (I know that is easier said than done)

This is my first check in.  We are on track TTC this month.  I'm charting but not temping.  What's worked in the past for me is sex as much as possible the 10-14 days after AF.  Does anyone else do this method? My 1st pregnancy - we had sex only one time during that time period.  The second - we covered every one of those days.  Both times I paid attention to the days and then we got a bfp...so I'm going to give it another go.  However, we were told to wait one cycle and my cycles are usually 28 days BUT after my m/c I went 34 days before AF.  So my cycle is prob out of wack and will take a while to get back to normal.  I prob should just have sex every day - does anyone do that????

@kristindmiller - I think about that at times too.  I wish I cld see the full picture instead of the tiny pieces I am handed.  I think that is where faith is supposed to step in.  But it can be so hard.  You've def been on my mind/heart since reading your intro story.  Sending you hugs and try not to worry.  One of my favorite quotes is "Encourage your hopes not your FEARS".  Don't give them power; remain hopeful.  (I know that is easier said than done)

This is my first check in.  We are on track TTC this month.  I'm charting but not temping.  What's worked in the past for me is sex as much as possible the 10-14 days after AF.  Does anyone else do this method? My 1st pregnancy - we had sex only one time during that time period.  The second - we covered every one of those days.  Both times I paid attention to the days and then we got a bfp...so I'm going to give it another go.  However, we were told to wait one cycle and my cycles are usually 28 days BUT after my m/c I went 34 days before AF.  So my cycle is prob out of wack and will take a while to get back to normal.  I prob should just have sex every day - does anyone do that????

Welcome! The best thing to do, especially after a loss, is to start charting. That will certainly tell you how long your cycles are, when you O and even if you are O'ing. Cycles after a loss can be very wonky and also take a few months to regulate. Try having BDing EOD, it will probably be better for both of y'all. FX for you, hun.
