Hi everyone! You can call me K, i'm 32 and DH is 33. We have been married for a little over 7 years and have 2 beautiful children: my son J is 6 and my daughter K is 3 (birthdates in siggy). K is my rainbow baby. I had a chemical pregnancy before conceiving her. We have been trying for #3 since September 2012. Along the way i've had 3 miscarriages and a hysteroscopy and polypectomy. My last m/c was on Jan 17 after which I bled for nearly 4 weeks. Right now i'm just waiting on my first AF to come so I can start temping again. My doc wants me to wait 2 cycles before trying again so i'm trying my hardest to be patient
QOTW: Born and raised in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. Have lived here all my life and no plans to ever leave!
@srcr2011 - I struggle with Vit. D as well, although I haven't had my levels checked recently. I take 2000 IU a day. Once the levels are down, it is hard to get them back up. I hope yours bounce back nicely!
TTC #3 since 8/2012 DX Endometriosis 2/2002 (lost left tube due to a cyst), PCOS 6/2010 BFP - 10/18/2012, EDD - 6/26/2013, Baby Girl lost at 22 weeks (T21), D&E 2/15/2013 BFP - 4/23/2014, EDD - 1/2/2015 Twin Boys lost at 12 weeks, M/C 6/25/2014 My charthereAll ALers welcome!
@rmpar29 Thanks for including me in this check in.
Here's a little about me: I'm 30 (turning 31 on St. Patrick's Day), DH is 30. I'm a labor & delivery nurse and DH will be joining the police academy in May! Our DS Timmy will turn 2 on March 30! I am still BFing him and got my first PPAF when he was almost 21 months old. I got pregnant that first cycle with baby #2, but m/c at 5w1d on 1/30/14. I'm waiting for my first AF (or BFP!). Today is CD 36 for me since the m/c. Took a HPT on 3/1 and got BFN. Maybe I'll test again on Saturday? I dunno.
QOTW: where are you from and where do you live now? From San Diego, CA and I still live here. I don't plan on leaving either!
@NoeliaV - I just took a look at your chart (and sent you a friend request on FF) and it looks like you O'd around CD18 last month, so I wouldn't declare it anovulatory yet. I hope to see the temp rise soon!
I got the FF request. Thanks! This is my 75th cycle charting (we use this method to TTA as well as TTC), and in that time I have two annovulatory cycles, one O on CD20 and the last cycle (which was my first post-loss cycle) at CD18. And all my pre-O signs are gone, whereas with those two late O cycles the signs were there...
FX though that you're right!
BFP: 12/20/13 EDD: 08/23/14 (discovered m/c at 8w5d)
BFP: 09/22/14 EDD: 06/06/15 (hoping for our rainbow)
Thanks @rmpar29 for running the check-in! And hi to all of the PAL ladies!
My DD will be 3 in May and was conceived with the help of Femara. I worked FT until DD was a little over a year old, then I resigned to
stay at home. I love it and don't regret my decision at all! I
eventually plan on going back to school to study holistic nutrition when
the time is right for our family. Also, a confession (since I can't
post this on TTCAL FFFC) is that I weaned DD 6 months ago, but I still
wear my nursing bras almost exclusively. They're hideous, but so comfy!
Since DD, I've had 4 losses in the past year and few months...a natural mc at 6 weeks, a missed mc at 9.5 weeks followed by a D&C, a cp, and an ectopic. I had mtx 2 weeks ago for the ectopic and am waiting for my beta to get back to zero (it was down to 32 on Tuesday!) and I'm benched until May. The ectopic has been rough, but I'm feeling a little better. I'm trying to look at the break positively...at least it will give me time to focus on other things and not obsess about everything TTC.
Thank you @rmpar29 for running the check in and setting this up over on PAL.
Thank you to PAL for being so welcoming! I look forward to getting to know everyone here.
My name is Nancy. I am 35. DH and I have been married for almost 10 years. We have 2 girls, Emily just turned 7 on March 1st and Abigail will be 4 in October. We had a BFP on June 12, 2013 but on August 5, 2013 at our NT Scan it was discovered to be a MMC, the baby had stopped developing a few weeks prior. It was devastating and really hard to explain to my oldest. She still wants to know why. We have been trying since December for our rainbow. I chart, but only with taking my temp every morning. I am not a fan of OPK's.
I am currently in the 2ww for this cycle, but I am not sure how many DPO I am since I missed a day of temping. It says I O'd on the 3rd but I had a temp dip on the 1st. We'll see in about a week or so!
QOTW- I am from Long Island. I have never lived anywhere else.

Hi everyone!! I'm Jess am 30. DH will be 35 this month and we have an almost 3 year old named Connor. We are from cold and snowy NE Ohio . I got my 2nd BFP on 12/22/13 and had a natural m/c on 1/8/14. Currently, I'm in the 2WW and am going CRAZY. I am trying not to overanalyze every little symptom I feel, but I can't help but feel hopeful. Looking forward to participating over here, and I plan on intro-ing on the main board soon! But I do want to say thank you to all of the ladies on this board for being so welcoming!
@rmpar29 - my first time temping was a success! I am 7DPO now. And no theme for Connor's birthday, but he has request a Jake and the Neverland Pirates cake. Should be easy enough. And because he was born on St. Patty's Day, we'll have to have a few shamrocks around for the party, too . Looking forward to reading through all of the responses! ETA - iPad says paragraphs are hard.
@fallfever I'm so glad to hear you like your new OB. FX this is your cycle!
@kj808 So sorry for your losses. Waiting can be so hard when you want something so badly. I like to think waiting helps strengthen our desire for something, and therefore our love for it and enjoyment of it when we do finally get it.
@polevaultRN FX this is your cycle! Also, I've seriously considered being an L&D Nurse; I went to 1 semester of nursing school and had to drop out due to financial reasons, but I'd love to go back.
@sunnydaysarehere So sorry for your losses! I remember wearing my nursing bras any chance I could get - yes they're absolutely hideous but oh so comfy!!
@tappin2B FX for you this cycle. My oldest is 7, and while he didn't know about our 3rd pregnancy, I can imagine how difficult it would be to explain it to him. Also, I only do temping - I've never used OPK's, and doubt I ever will...
@anglndsguse44 The 2WW can be hard to navigate - trying to decide if what you're feeling is "normal" compared to last month or if it's different. FX you get your BFP!

@morethansparrows08 you should definitely go back to nursing school! I
really love my job although I'm probably going to be changing to
postpartum soon so I can do more teaching and help moms with
breastfeeding. I like L&D, but there are just so many lawsuits and
it is definitely high stress! But being able to take part in the miracle of childbirth is pretty awesome!
@TMaggie0424 Awesome! (I think you may have said that, and I missed it somehow, despite reading your post a few times to make sure I wasn't missing anything...) My and MH's anniversary is in July, too!

Hi ladies!! Thanks so much for posting this over here! Excited to be a part of this check in
I have one little boy who just turned four and we have been trying for a second since Dec 2011.
After trying on our own for a while and seeing one RE, we had six early losses, each before 9 weeks.
Now, after seeing a new RE and having some tests rerun and getting different insurance in place, I am in the stimming phase for out first attempt at IVF.
So far so good and the RE seems pretty confident that I'll get to egg retrieval phase, maybe Tue or Wed. This is pretty exciting and scary for me!! But I am lucky to have a great RE (thank you @RosiePeare) who is very calming and doesn't give me too much info to get all worried about. Just that things seem to be going on track and he's hopeful for me.
This is a HUGE difference from how I felt with my prior RE who basically just felt sorry for me.
I am AMA and will be 41 this May. We've made a commitment that if it doesn't happen by the end of this year while we have the insurance in place, that will be the end of our trying for a second child. So this is it.
Sorry this got a little long! Anyway, I'm hopeful but not feeling super confident we're actually going to get our take home baby. Given my DOR diagnosis, I am very concerned none of the embies will make it to transfer. But we'll see. Worth the try!!
I think I'm so jaded from the losses it's hard to let myself get too excited.
@anitaflora so sorry for your losses. I'm very happy to hear your new RE is giving you just enough info to keep you informed but not paranoid. FX the IVF works for you!

Hi ladies! I'm KJsbabe. I'm 28 and DH is 31, we've been married for six years. I had my first loss in May of '10, an early MC at 5w4d. My EDD was 1/27/11. My second loss was in Dec of '10. I went in at 8w and our baby only measured 6w. I went back at 10w6d to check on growth and our LO was gone. My EDD was 7/7/11. I had some complications MCing naturally and we were benched for 6 months. I finally got pg with my rainbow girl who was born 6/29/12. DD is 20 months now and is the light of my life!
We started TTC for #2 in Oct after my cycle finally returned PP. I'm still BFing DD 2x a day, and while I feel like it's time to wean her, I really have no motivation to do so. If that makes any since at all! We're on cycle #5. I have an app with my OB at the end of the month to talk about my short LPs. I'm hoping we can so cycle monitoring to confirm an LP defect and then go from there. I average 7-8 days, and while I did get pg with DD with an LP that short, I just don't feel like the odds are in my favor.
QOTW: I grew up in northen PA and live a couple hours south now.

My BFP Charts This time I'm not leaving without you.
Hi ladies! I hope you don't mind if I join in. I used to be active on TTCAL and PGAL back in 2011 and 2012. It's nice seeing a few familiar names! I'm Ellen (30) and DH is 31. We'll have been married for 5 years this spring. We had our first loss in March 2011, natural m/c at 6w1d. EDD was 10/21. We then got pregnant with our rainbow, Sophia, and she was born 1/6/12. She's now 2 and into everything, she's so much fun!
We started TTC for another in December but I had an early loss at 4w5d last month, EDD was 10/13. So we are now benched for a cycle (still waiting on my first post m/c AF) before trying again. I really had hoped never to be here again, and I am already sick of charting. I hope there are lots of BFPs soon!
QOTW: I grew up outside of Philly and live in the city now.
Thanks for all of the love ladies!!! I actually feel bad saying this but the HSG was a breeze!! I literally had absolutely no pain during and so far nothing but mild cramps after. My OB, the radiologist and tech kept asking me if I was ok and couldn't believe I didn't feel anything. The doc showed me on the screen my "perfectly normal" shaped uterus, open tubes, and no pollups or ashermans like I was worried about. We've been given the green light to try this cycle and my doc is going to start me on progesterone supplements 2dpo so let's see if that helps!!
Thanks for all of your support. I'm absolutely exhausted from stressing about this the past two weeks but am still going to drag myself into work so I don't waste the sick day!
IVF #1, Stimmed for 12 days, ER 8/22/14, 9 retrieved, 7M, 7F!! Freeze all due to fluid in uterus.

Surgery scheduled 12/12/14 to fix possible isthmocele
3/26/15 transferred one 8 cell grade 4 embryo and one 6 cell grade 3 embryo = slow rising betas for 2+ weeks = ectopic MTX shot 4/29/15
Repeat c-scar surgery June 2015
2nd and last IVF cycle August 2015, stimmed for 12 days, 2 egg retrieved, both mature and both fertilized. Transferred both 8-cell embryos on Day 3, beta 9/5/15 = BFFN
Wow, ladies! I'm loving all of this activity on this check-in!! I had 24 notifications this AM...that's awesome!
@polevaultRN - I might hold off on testing a bit longer. It's not unusual for cycles to take awhile to start up after a m/c. Maybe grab some $.88 pee sticks from Walmart so you can satisfy the urge when you get it. Not that it's not possible for you to conceive on your first cycle and I hope you get your BFP.
@NoeliaV - I hope your body will get it's act in gear soon!
@sunnydaysarehere - I'm glad to hear that your betas are coming down. Huge ((((HUGS)))) to you lady!!!
@Tappin2B - I'm glad to see you join us over here! I sent you a FF request. FX for you hon!
@anglndguse44 - I'm glad that the temping was a success. FX for you! Yes, a Jake cake shouldn't be too hard and there are Jake party decorations at Party City.
@SharkFarts - I wondered what happened to your abysmal attempt at temping...lol! I'm glad that you got the rental home and are all moved in.
@TMaggie0424 - Welcome! I can't imagine bleeding for a year, but I'm glad that they got it figured out.
@anitaflora - So glad to see you again hon! I'm glad that things seem to be going well for your first IVF and I hope the the ER happens right on time for you. Please keep us posted!
@KJsbabe - Welcome! Yes, that does seem like a short LP. I had an LP averaging 11-12 days, but varying from 9-15 and my RE was not happy with that. He said that even 11 days is a bit short. I would definitely talk to your OB about the short LPs.
@ellebelle2384 - I'm so sorry for your losses and I'm glad that you are joining us. I agree that charting really is a pain! I hope that the next month flies by for you!
AFM: I had my CD3 b/w and u/s this AM and my right ovary is looking beautiful. 14 follies and one that's already big enough to measure (<1 cm). I'm hoping for two mature follies and there are two more that are about .8 cm, so hopefully out of these three, two of them will grow. Just waiting on my instructions to start stimming. Oh, and she looked and looked and looked and there's NO CYST!!! YAY!

I'm 38, DH 36. My sweet little girl just turned two last week, I'm a SAHM (worked as an artist previously) I just got off the bench after 10-11 months of partial molar recovery.
I'm in the 2ww just barely, not much hope this cycle. Of course DH has been sick with a really weird disease no one has ever heard of right when we can move ahead. Kikuchi disease if anyone wants something fun and exciting to google. He's going to be OK though.
I am from Pittsburgh and live in Pittsburgh but I've lived in Miami, Salt Lake City, Mexico City and Paris for a little variety.
Thanks for letting me join in, nice to meet all of you and hear your stories.

Sorry to butt-in.. this is a really helpful website talking about your fertility returning while bfing. You may not have a LPD, but your fertility may just not be up to par because you're still nursing. I had 6-8 day LPs for the first 7 months after my period returning (although my period returned at 8w pp). I got pregnant (chemical pregnancy) two cycles ago, and my last cycle I had a 12 day LP, so I'm pretty sure it was just that my fertility hadn't returned if that all makes sense (we were sort of trying since September). This page explains it all a lot better (towards the bottom) https://kellymom.com/bf/normal/fertility/
Thank you for the info. I have read that a couple places, that BFing can cause short LPs. The reason I'm concerned, though, is because I've never had long LPs. When we first started TTC way back when, I was at a solid 9 days. I had read multiple places that anything less than 10 is cause for concern, but I ended up getting pg twice (both losses), so at the time I wasn't overly worried about it. Then with my second MC I had a D&C and my LP shortened up to 7-8 days. One cycle it was even 6! I switched doctors at that point, to one who do testing after "only" two losses. I got pg with my DD on that first testing cycle (cd3 b/w, HSG, SA, PCOS b/w, and RPL), so we never made it to the point of really looking at my LP issue. So I guess now that my cycles have returned to that "normal" I'm not super hopeful for them to get any longer. I'm fully prepared for my doctor to tell me it's because we're still BFing and that I'll need to wean DD and see what happens. But at the same time, I feel like it is still something I need to bring up.

@kj808 - I hope the time passes quickly for you!
DX Endometriosis 2/2002 (lost left tube due to a cyst), PCOS 6/2010

My chart here All ALers welcome!
BFP #1 8.6.2011 EDD 4.7.2012 DS1 born 3.30.2012
BFP #3 4.30.2014 EDD 1.10.2015 DS2 born 12.31.2014
This is my 75th cycle charting (we use this method to TTA as well as TTC), and in that time I have two annovulatory cycles, one O on CD20 and the last cycle (which was my first post-loss cycle) at CD18. And all my pre-O signs are gone, whereas with those two late O cycles the signs were there...
FX though that you're right!
My DD will be 3 in May and was conceived with the help of Femara. I worked FT until DD was a little over a year old, then I resigned to stay at home. I love it and don't regret my decision at all! I eventually plan on going back to school to study holistic nutrition when the time is right for our family. Also, a confession (since I can't post this on TTCAL FFFC) is that I weaned DD 6 months ago, but I still wear my nursing bras almost exclusively.
QOTW: I'm from (and still live in) Ohio.

Anyway, I'm
hopeful but not feeling super confident we're actually going to get our take home baby. Given my DOR diagnosis, I am very concerned none of the embies will make it to transfer. But we'll see. Worth the try!!
I think I'm so jaded from the losses it's hard to let myself get too excited.
Thanks again ladies!

@Frenchteachermama - I hope your HSG goes well honey! Thinking of you!
YAY!
