There are a lot of words that make people sound uneducated. I wouldn't consider texting one of them.

@anniea75 haha! Seriously I was expecting her to say she uses "He wirelessly sent a short typed message using his cellular telephone" in place of "texting"

This summer my DH will graduate from grad school and he will get a promotion with in his organization (that we'll relocate for). I'm pretty excited that we should be able to stop taking food stamps this summer. Over the last 3 years there are other assistance programs that we qualified for, like WIC (used for about a year) and winter heating assistance (never felt we needed it, but would have qualified).
I'm grateful it was there and I'm looking forward to going back to paying into the system.

Going through the application process has been an eye opening experience.

Im going through the exact same situation. DH is about to graduate, just got a job etc etc. We finally are able to get off the assistance we have been on. WIC/social security benefits.. almost applied for section eight housing also. We were about to get food stamps but he got his new job. It really makes you appreciate and understand things better. I believe it has helped me become better with my savings and money management for sure also.

Glad to hear you guys are doing better now too!

So the legitimate use of a word sounds uneducated? Got it.

This. "Texting" is fine. "Texted" however is not. I can always work my sentence so I'm not saying "texted" but I'm not sure how you would work a sentence around not saying "texting"?

@CamrynnsMommy Yeah.... I realize it's a real word but it sound dumb. Moist is a real word too and people don't like it either.

Also, I guess as I think about it more texted is the one that really bothers me more.

I like nicknames sometimes.  I tend to use strange ones.  For example, DD is called by me and DH as Potomous (short for hippopotamus).  I even shortened her Nickname to another nickname P.O.T. or sometimes I call her The Notorious P.O.T.  We have gone through many other nicknames for her too and DH has had some very strange nicknames.  

I guess my other UO is I hate all of those cop/ detective/ legal procedural shows like NCIS or Law and Order, etc.  For one, I hate legal dramas because I just sit and complain about how inaccurate and how unlike real life they are (as a lawyer).  I also think they are always predictable (formula) and are just overly melodramatic.  

You are SO lucky you didn't just bad mouth criminal minds, because I'd be spilling whoop ass everywhere right now.
