I've got a 2 hr glucose this morning, they're checking my thyroid & doing an EKG as well bc I've been having periods of my heart racing each morning with shortness of breath. I'm a nurse, which means I'm a horrible patient and I worked with my OB doc yesterday and she saw that I was short of breath so made me come in. Boo.
Add me to the glucose test club. Also still have this horrible large swollen lymph node. Now I know it's not breast tissue because of the size. Miss self diagnosis here. Also gonna ask some questions if I can remember.
Oh another appointment I have is with my dad. He wants to "talk" to me. The last time we "talked" my mom got served with custody papers the next day. Only for my brother, not me. That was 15 years ago. We are not close even though we live 1 mile or so apart. I see him couple times a year. I can only imagine what he has to say.
My mom said maybe he wants to apologies and start new. I said... He better be taking me out to eat if he is doing that.
Plus we are meeting at his house. I checked. No one died or is dying. Although last time he left me a voice mail that my great grandma died and my stupid phone hid it for 3 months then pop it was there. That pissed me off. So no one is dead or he would have text me.
I am waiting in my OBs office to see my CMW. 24 weeks appointment, but I have an ultrasound because of the anterior placenta and to confirm baby is breech.
Which... Isn't baby big enough to flop around? How is it labeled "breech" already?
Oh well. Extra sonogram. And I invited my mom to come up.
I have an AP and she's breech as well. My son was the same way. He turned around 34 weeks but I ended up having a section so I guess it didn't matter much anyways.

Holy glucose testing today! @lest12 you're not kidding about the taste lingering...I also found it kicked my heartburn into overdrive. But at least it's over with--now keeping my fingers crossed that we all passed!
I got to see my OB again today, after rotating through all the other doctors in the practice. I absolutely love her--we laughed and joked through the whole checkup. I really hope she's in the hospital the day that I deliver! My fundal height measured at a whopping 37 weeks (I still have two days to go to 27), so I guess that explains why I'm running out of belly room in all my shirts. Time for me to start pilfering clothes from DH!
Waiting for my monthly appointment (27 weeks). Blood pressure was high today - 154/96, so I'm really hoping a) my last urine collection was clean and b) maybe I won't have to up/change meds?
@MztWilson Thinking of you today. I hope you get some answers too (only 5 more days until I meet with my cardiologist).
@MrsBHM I hope they figure out what's up with you. I ended up having too low of thyroid numbers when they checked mine, I'm supposed to get them rechecked soon. If you ever need an ear, I'm here. I've spent almost 2 months dealing with my heart now.
Thanks! I mentioned it to her at my last appt and she gave me the option for tests and I declined, but it's only gotten worse since then so I was glad to see her at work yesterday so she could get me in soon. My Mom toold me she had thyroid issues when she was pregnant so hopefully they can figure it out.
Had my glucose test today, finished the drink in about 45 seconds but didn't think it was too bad. Up 2 lbs, little miss is belly measuring right on track, and took it upon herself to kick the Doppler. So polite. One more month, then it's on to biweekly appts!

Mine kicked her so much she couldn't hear her HB really well. She would get it on the Doppler then kick and move. Made me just laugh and the dr too.
Glucose test done this morning. The drink was not as bad as I was told. Tasted like an over sweetened Hi C drink. The 7 tubes of blood they took actually made me feel worse than the drink.
I had my 24 week appointment this morning. My doc told me to watch my portion control because I've gained a bit more weight than she'd like. Ugh, I'm a lard. I blame Girl Scout Cookie Season!!
Had my follow up ultrasound today and baby has grown from 10th percentile to 38th percentile! Great news!!! Dr said everything looks great including placental blood flow so we will so one more ultrasound at 36 weeks to make sure baby is still up to par on her weight. She is still a girl and I got the glucola to drink before my next appt in 3 weeks! So happy and feeling great today!
Had my glucose test, passed at a 94. Woo hoo! Also had my Rhogam since this was my 28 week appt. measuring at 29. I gained 7 lbs since 4 weeks ago but my total is only still 13 so my MD is happy.
Well cardiologist wants to monitor my heart for 30 days so ive got this awesome looking heart monitor. Then in 30 days I'll have an echo done and we will go over the results. I passed my glucose screen so that's a plus!
Had a great dr visit today...my first since being released from the most recent hospital stay almost 2 weeks ago. Baby's heartbeat was perfect, fundal height was measuring ahead, and I got cleared to leave my house to attend my 6 yr olds first swim meet this weekend! Dr said I have to sit the whole time, still no bending or lifting, and then right back home and into bed after. But I'll take it. I've missed so much these last 6 weeks and while it's TOTALLY 100% worth it, I'm excited for a little outing
Had my 25 week check up and u/s due to my husbands heart defect and couldn't see the heart well enough last time. So far everything looks good but still can get good pics of the heart because baby is on his stomach. Oh well just means another u/s in a few weeks. Along with my glucose screen. Here's a pic of my little guy
Had my 25 week check up this afternoon. My BP was perfect, urine was clean, baby boy weighs in at 1 lb 14 oz putting him in the 47th percentile. Life is good right about now. The only thing that scared me was my weight. Yikes!!! Doc says it's not bad but it's a scary looking number lol.
@tdonatoni - I asked the same question a few days ago and the ladies told me it's really only something that gets checked if there is a risk or concern... Not standard with most practices
Just came from my appointment. My MFM tells me nothing after my weekly appointments, so I wait a month to hear things about my baby. This is because I never see the doctor only the ultrasound techs who tells me oh that's his face and his hand, I feel line I'm a freaking toddler when on there. They aren't qualified to tell me what is going in in the scan. Any who, my LO has fluid in his kidney and the amniotic fluid is dropping into the funneling of my cervix, boo. So less fluid around the baby.
Edit: I was given progesterone "inserts"
@fuccimama ((hugs)) did you actually get to talk to the doctor this time? What should the progesterone do? What's the plan?
@megk82 it continuously records my heart rate but it comes with this cell phone looking thing that if I have symptoms I push a button in the monitor itself then questions pop up on the screen of this cell phone looking communicator that ask what symptoms I'm having and what my activity level was. I have to wear it 24/7 except in the shower.
I had my appointment yesterday and everything looked great. DH was able to come with me and listened to the heart for the first time, the first and only time he went with me was at 12 weeks and we weren't able to hear the heartbeat and he was panicking. My BP and weight are okay and we were finally able find out that we are having a little girl. Doc said she's measuring normal. Next time I go I will get the glucose test, yuck.
Re: Thursday Appointments
I hope there are some good UO's this morning to keep me entertained!

Anyone wanna guess what he has to say?
