FTM and the little man doesn't want to budge. We have used sage oils, acupuncture, pressure points, and swept the membrane. Baby is already 8 pounds so they don't want him in longer the this saturday, 42nd week. My ideal birth ( I know it won't happen) it with out meds but it looks like we will need to induce with pit. My question is, have any of you been induced with pit. and been able to still avoid an epidural?
Re: 11 days over due, how to stay medication free?
ETA DD was born 8lb 13oz
Where I live they start inductions with a foley catheter first. It inflates your cervix to about 3cm, then falls out. Sometimes that's enough to kick start labour and no further action is needed. Is that an option where you are?
If the foley doesn't work then they start talking about pitocin here.
