Hi, I'm new here, just found out I'm pregnant with my 3rd about 2 weeks ago. This pregnancy I am going to a new practice because we moved a few months ago. My 2 previous pregnancies I had a dating ultrasound and my doctor also checked for a heartbeat at the first appointment. I had my first appointment yesterday at the new practice and they told me they do not do a dating ultrasound, and they will not check for a heartbeat until I am at least 12 weeks. Does this seem strange to anyone? Maybe I am just used to my old practice and the way they did things, but I feel like they should at least check for a heartbeat at the first appointment right? I'm now questioning whether or not I should continue to see them or try to find another new practice. Thanks for any opinions or advice
