Periodic Breathing

My lil guy Dax had a rough night last night.  The nurse said he had quite a bit of periodic breathing episodes and he would drop his oxygen levels when it would happen.  He's been doing so great and all of a sudden this happens.  I'm scared!  He's had periodic episodes of this before but his oxygen wouldn't drop.  I asked her why they think he's doing this.  She said it could be a number of things.  She said he could just be plain tired because of all the new things he's doing....in a crib, maintaining temp, nursing, huge weight gain yesterday, etc.  I hope it doesn't continue...my heart just dropped when they told me.
