Do tell. I hope it's an inlaw you despise.

  • My belly feels terrible if I eat too much, like a balloon that's been blown up too much and could pop at any second.

This. If I eat too much I stretch out and it's so uncomfortable! Happened to me yesterday. It was my birthday so I told myself it was ok to eat all the food and cake....I thought I would explode!
  • I so uncomfortable after every meal it's rediculous. Today after lunch at work I put my work chair in recline my feet up on the computer console and rested the keyboard on my belly. It was a site to see but at least I was confortable.
According to my OB's scale I've gained 24 pounds but I'm not worried I'm pretty sure the shoes I was wearing were at least ten pounds each.

  • Well... I'm growing two babies that should at least double in size and am measuring full-term. So yeah, I'm a little uncomfortable. Is there some kind of award I get? Like a one-upper award? ;)

Snarkiness aside, you will be amazed at what your body can do and how it can grow. I'm only 5'1 so there's nowhere else for my belly to go but straight out. I made it to 40w 5d with DD. I actually find the more active I am the less I hurt. Try some yoga stretches and/or a belly brace to take some pressure off your back.

My right hemorrhoid weighs 25 pounds. Does that count?

Only if you named it. Can we call it Charles?
I have the Charles In Charge theme song stuck in my head now. Tyvm.

I've found this too. Of course being careful not to overdo it, but moving around and stretching really helps me a ton.

Ditto. I hadn't realized there was some sort of deadline by which we had to be achingly uncomfortable, else we weren't allowed to note our discomfort for the rest of the pregnancy. No comment on the weight part.

  • I've been uncomfortable since the beginning and am so sick of people telling me pregnancy was "the best time of their lives"! Don't get me wrong I am so so grateful to be having a child and love her with all my heart but I am really looking forward to having my body back. I vomited every day till about Christmas and then started gaining weight at a fast pace. I'm 5'4" and have gained 35 lbs. I could care less about the number as long as my baby is healthy.

I don't think weight gain alone makes you uncomfortable I think anyone who is pregnant feels uncomfortable!

I have found the opposite.  I will feel okay after chiro and massage visits and as soon as I either work out or just have an active day with DS, I am back in bad pain again.

No. It is my step-dad.  Sometimes he is ok.  Sometimes not. He has a bad temper and a sharp tongue, but he at least "tries" which is more than I can say for some people...

Well, I guess I'll be the fat one...30 weeks, and I've gained more like 35 lbs and am only 5'1". I've been uncomfortable for weeks, and I know from experience it only gets worse. I can't wait to have my body back to myself!
@JmeJme, we can be fatties together! 28 weeks today and I'm up 35lbs, despite still working out 3-4 days a week. I'm 5'4". Oh well, I just can't stress about this anymore. This week, I've started feeling uncomfortable and like my stomach is stretching out more every day. DS must've gone through a growth spurt this week. Ouch!
I'll join this club. 29 weeks. 5'5" and up 38+lbs. Been uncomfortable for weeks.

I'm in too. I am glad to know I am not alone. I was scrolling through the first set of posts, and I am not going to lie, had one of those pity parties for myself.. glad I was able to reel it in before i really felt bad for myself. I am 5' 4" and have an extremely short torso, there is only about an inch and half (on a good day) between my hip bones and my ribs. I lost 17 lbs before i got pregnant and have managed to put it all back and then some. I am about 29/30 weeks along and have gained 35 pounds as of my last OB visit a few weeks ago.I am uncomfortable, but nothing too unbearable. Just a little wretched getting out of a chair or rolling over in bed.

I'm sorry that you started to get uncomfortable this week.  That must be rough.

Snarky. Must be nice living in the world you do! :-)
I actually ended up really sick with a stomach virus last night and think that's the reason I was feeling so awful yesterday. I'm a FTM and not always sure what I'm feeling is normal. I thought these boards were for supporting each other and not bringing people down with snarky remarks...

This is the same for me- likely it has something to do with the SPD and work injury in the groin and pelvis so being more active is what causes the pain. but that is different from just being tired/sore. I am used to muscle/joint pain and fatigue from Lupus so honestly can't say pregnancy has topped that for me. actually it has been better which happens a lot for autoimmune sufferers aparrently.

  • Gained 28 lbs at 28 weeks.  I started streching every single night last week and it has REALLY helped. I hate stretching to death, but I'll do whatever to be somewhat comfy.  Try it!  I think most of the reason for being uncomfortable for me is that I sit at my desk all day.

9 more weeks of work to go!

I was waiting for the weight police to weigh in. Yes, every pregnancy is different, but I have noticed that the last 15 of the 30 I have gained so far has happened in the past months or so, which has significantly ramped up the uncomfortable and painful part of pregnancy. First trimester torture of migraines and ass morning sickness spared me from THAT part of pain.....
The reason for the recent gain is because baby is now in a serious growth mode and will be until the kid comes out. Dude...you're going to keep gaining weight, you're going to be uncomfortable, and it's going to suck. So pucker up buttercup and know that every other woman on this board is feeling discomfort and for several it's been that way the whole damn pregnancy.
DUH!  I am a STM and gained 50+ pounds my last pregnancy.  Most of it in the last 18 weeks before I was induced at 37 weeks...but thanks for educating me...buttercup.

I was just saying that this past month the weight gain has been the source of my discomfort.
