~~~ Pact Grads Check In ~~~
At @unaveragejane's request, please check in here pregnant ladies. And please let her know how your lady bits feel when you sit on the potty. That sound really weird, maybe Jane can explain it better.
Any questions? Concerns? Comments? New fluff?
  • Are we due on the exact same day?
    I'm feeling better than I was last week!  I put ice on the rib spot to encourage baby to move, and it seems to have helped.
  • I've got nothing new, really. Horrible, horrible heartburn the last couple of days. I found out baby is still breech, and her head is pretty much at the base of my esophagus, so that's how that's working.
    If I go to the consignment sale this weekend, all I'm allowing myself to look at are NB diapers, nothing else. Still really haven't bought anything for this LO.
  • Oh dear heavens. Thanks, TJ. You're a peach. ;) I saw this as I was running out the door to the dentist's office.
    Our A/S is Monday, so I'm really excited to get to see Butterbean again. I'm also hoping the dr can reassure me that all my aches and pains are normal. Besides the whole spd-hips moving in independent directions feeling, I also feel like I did after my episiotomy. It's definitely the exterior portion of the hoohah and not posterior, and it's weirding me out. In happier, more normal news, I finally am starting to feel some little goldfish movements at last. DH has even been touching my belly lately, too. He was not at all a belly toucher last time, so I am enjoying it this time.
  • I think MK had varicose veins down there that caused quite a bit of pain. Am I allowed to say that? Anyway Jane, it could be something like that.
  • @TJ1979 in addition to p fruits, a good brisk walk did the trick for me... I'm doubting the weather is nice enough for a walk, but maybe a treadmill?
  • @yellowlily2013 I walk at least one mile each day. 3 on weekends. No luck. Thanks though!
  • Not much new here. I think I may be starting to show, but if ppl don't know they probably just think I'm fat. But really, it's march and still snowing. So I pretty much just wear hoodies all the time, so no one can tell anyways.
    I should really go shopping, but I'm dreading it. Between giant boobs/not giant rib cage, pregnant, and nursing friendly, I am not very optimistic.
  • I'm back to whine again this week.
    27 weeks welcomed me with a kidney stone on saturday that still has not passed!  Luckily it isn't very painful (I'm no stranger to stones), it just feels more like a UTI…which is infuriatingly uncomfortable.
    I'm also feeling a heavier fullness low in my pelvis.  I'm assuming this is normal and baby is just getting bigger and heavier?  It's not helping with the "gotta pee!" symptoms.
    I also found out DH is having a quick 2-3 week deployment during my 35th-37th weeks. I don't know how concerned I should be about him potentially missing the birth, but i'm a bit nervous.
    third trimester is not my friend
  • I'm still fighting the sinus infection that won't die... but at least G is feeling better :)
    No major pregnancy symptoms/new situations recently. Although apparently this little person has decided that I don't need bladder control anymore. Anytime I sneeze or cough (which has been pretty frequently lately), I pee a little. It's awesome.
  • The fat shaming, even from midwives, during pregnancy is really awful. I switched midwives during my first pregnancy because they were on my ass about it all the time. They made it sound like I needed to be out there running sprints every day or something.
    I am very very ready to not be pregnant anymore.
    Last pregnancy I gained 50+lbs. My doc never said anything. When I asked she just said my body is going to do what it's going to do. My mom gained 50, 60, and 70lbs with her 3 pregnancies. She said she always lost it after a year.
  • effin heart burn.  I can't take it anymore.  Ahhhh.  I'm on the max dose of medicines so I just have to deal.
    No new fluff this week :(
    This was me too. Last pregnancy I gained 70 pounds and they were concerned I had gestational diabetes, preeclampsia and all the other stuff that is typically seen with a quick and large weight gain. I didn't have any of it, and my daughter was born at term at 7 1/2 pounds. I also lost all of it before I was pregnant again.
    This time around I've gained over 30 by 24 weeks and given my history my doc isn't concerned. She says some women just hold onto every calorie during pregnancy, and that's what my body needs. So as long as your doc isn't worried and you're healthy, it's totally okay!
    This is me, too. And all of the women in my family. We're all short and petite and gain a lot during pregnancy and lose it after. Sucks when even healthcare professionals make you feel bad about gaining during pregnancy.
    I didn't mean to imply it was universal. Poor wording on my part. My first midwives were on me even though I hadn't even gained ten pounds at the time I transferred around 20 weeks.
  • I'm nearly half baked and feeling pretty good. I almost look pregnant depending on what I'm wearing. Finally no longer sick and tired. I finally also get another appointment tomorrow. It'll be the first one since my NT scan and I'm excited to actually be doing something. I'm starting to feel kicks more consistently, which is nice to feel once the other symptoms go away just to remind me that there really is a baby in there.
    I just got my Nicki's order today - a small trainer, new wet bag, and two imagine newborn covers.
  • 11 weeks 3 days.
    I'm still feeling like Im recovering from a horrible sickness. Tired, my stomach is just off. I feel weird. Totally different than last time. I'm hoping I feel normal soon. My house needs my attention and Logan would like to leave the house more, I'm sure. He loves to watch people. I want to take him to story time at the library, but I don't feel up to it right now.
    My lady bits feel normal. I'm still spotting here and there, but I'm trying to ignore it. I went in about a week ago and baby was fine. I realized I never talked to a nurse while I was there, I only had an US and she said baby was fine and I left..... is that normal?
    I updated my ticker after my due date changed at my nt scan. I'm trying to keep with the latest date they'll let me have in the hopes of avoiding an induction if this one is as reluctant to leave my uterus as the first one was.
