GTKY significance of screen name and avatar photo

Some of the conversation in @jaztaz1 prayer post got me thinking it would be fun to do a GTKY post. I'm sure this comes up every now and again, and I don't want to be annoying, so hopefully it wasn't done recently and I just missed it. I did a search from the last few months and since I started reading on here last November-ish, I don't remember seeing this topic. So here goes:

1.) Share the significance of your screen name

2.) Same thing for your avatar photo, if you have a customized one

For me:

1.) No real significance at all, sadly! Chicory is basically a tall spindly ditch weed with pretty purple flowers. I used the name as a username for some old online accounts and just reused it.

2.) It's a photo of an evil minion Happy Meal toy DH brought home for me one day. For a while, I just had one of the generic Bump avatars (changed to something better than the mocking pregnant silhouette) but I started to realize that I recognize other posters by their avatar. So I just found the most anonymous photo that was handy in the photos on my iPad at the time. Again, really no significance. I'm lame like that. And a little paranoid of giving away too much identity...though if someone really stalked my posts, they could probably guess some things about me.

I bet I'm going to get a good laugh about the real meaning of some of your SNs, as compared to the way my brain has interpreted them!

ETA: OMG, I just took a closer look and noticed there's a beer can in the background of my photo. LOL. Well, we do love us some High Life in this house...

1) My screen name is "Mrs-" because well I am a missus, Bark comes from my last name, 7 is for July, and 11 is for 2011 (We were married in July 2011). 

2.) My avatar is a pic of my Boston Terrier and I. It was a snap chat to my friend.

1) My screen name is of no significance whatsoever!  Every name I wanted was already taken so what I ended up with was basically me throwing darts.  I don't care for it all, and it doesn't represent who I am in the least, but now I'm stuck with it.  I wish I was more creative with it!  Oh well.  

2) My avatar is a pic of our wedding in May of 2012.  It was at a botanical garden in Florida.  It was so beautiful and DH will still say things like "Remember our wedding?  It was so amazing/beautiful/fun".  He was very uninvolved during all of the planning (other than picking the colors and requesting real oranges in the flower arrangements which turned out to be an absolutely awesome idea) so hearing that is so sweet.

1. My screen name is a childhood nickname (I have a twin sister, not a love of hostess twinkies!) and DH and I were married June 12th

2. That is my dog Darcy when she was a puppy.  It's actually her adoption photo.  I am terrible about taking pictures and I don't have many from when she was a puppy.

1. My name is from my freshman year of college. TTU are the initials of the college I attended and at that time in my life I was pretty sure I was a princess. I started using it as a SN or email and it had just kind of stuck.

2. My avatar pic is one of my favorite pics of me and DH. It was from our trip to Africa a few years ago.

Mines a transfer over from my theknot.com log in lol out last name is Crumley and my DH name is Patrick so yeah pcrumley ..avatar photo is us when we were courting. Such a long time ago. Lol I don't even think we were engaged yet.

1) Milagros means miracles in Spanish. I picked it because I think it's a pretty word and it seemed like a nice generic choice for a TTC board. Now we're really hoping for a miracle so it seems even more fitting. 315 is for March 15th, one of our anniversaries.

2) My avatar is a picture of my pups on the day they were reunited. They're brothers/littermates but we adopted the second one a few months after we got the first guy.

@ttuprincess - I have always read your name as TUTUprincess and assumed you were a ballerina!  

1) my initials, I'm so creative, and our anniversary is the 16th.

2) It's a wedding pic, a close up of our hands and rings.  I wanted to personalize but didn't want our faces or anything too identifying, this seemed to fit the bill.

1)  My name is Jasmine, better known as Jaz... And since I could talk I had an OBSESSION (to put it mildly) with Warner Brothers Tasmanian Devil, so much so my family nickname to this day is Taz. So my first email address was Jaztaz1... I'm known to respond to the question "How are you?" ... "I'm Jaztastic" lol it's my own personal adjective.

2) Picture of me and my best friend aka DH, at close friends wedding last summer.

Ha ha. You are not the first person to tell me that. Not a ballerina. Although, there are days I think that might be more fun than my office job

I was an unoriginal idiot who did part of my maiden name, and now I don't know how to change it.  

Our pic is from a vacation about 2 years ago...our "final vacation" before we would have our easily conceived baby...hahahah!!  Two years later, we are emotionally drained, have bags under our eyes, and each gained 20 lbs from all the IF stress.

It is really interesting to read the origin of some of our screennames. Specifically since so many of them came from email accounts!

I will joing the club, as I have had this S/N since I opened up my first email account back in highschool (which I still use as my main account to this day). Sha are the first 3 letters of my first name, and my familial nickname. 259 is the number of my graduating class from Central High School of Philadelphia (one of the oldest public schools in the country).

My Avatar is also one I have used for a good number of years on many forums. It is the husband/lover/cat from Bjork's The Triumph of a Heart music video. I use it because:

1 - I love cats (I have two at home)

2 - I love Bjork (own like every album she has created)

3 - The video was hilarious and the thumbnail brings a smile to my face to think of it.

1. My aunt calls her family the Gapp gaggle, so my husband and I joke that we are the Holman herd. It's alliteration at it's finest, I know.

2. My beautiful/smart/amazing little Pembroke Corgi pup, Coffey (named after the character in Stephen King's The Green Mile) accompanied me as I drove all alone up the scenic route 101 on the west coast. My husband had to start a job immediately and I still had a week left, so we had to drive separately. We moved from San Diego, CA to coastal Washington. I took my time (5 days) to see the sights, because I knew it would likely be a once-in-a-lifetime road trip experience. It was unlike anything I'd ever done before and it was amazing. Sorry this is so long; it was one of my favorite trips and this is my 2nd favorite picture from the trip! (My first favorite has my face in it, so I didn't use it since I don't like to post pictures of myself or my family online).

My avatar is synced up with my Facebook profile pic, so it changes from time to time depending on my mood. Right now, it's a close up of the Hopeful Hearts badge from the IF February check-in group.

My screen name comes from my knot days. I was a fall bride and so I abbreviated the word pumpkin and tacked on the bride. I shouldn't be allowed to name anything, even if I knew a way to change it I doubt I'd come up with anything better. My avatar is my selfie right after 2 hours of hair and make up on my sisters wedding day! I wish I had hair and make up people on staff.

1) mine is the same as my newest email... I had trouble thinking of something so I went with the first part of my name, "city" just because I love the big cities (like running around NYC) but couldn't think of a better way to express that, and 9 is my bday.

2) I didn't want anything personal since all the posts are public so I chose this generic one. I've thought about putting a generic but custom pic so I'm more easily recognizable.

1) I have a tattoo of a purple daisy on my ankle and I got married on 9/23/2012.

2 My avatar is a wedding photo of my DH kissing my forehead. It was a really sweet moment and it makes me smile.

1. Screen name: my favorite character from the book Dune: God Emperor. Siona is a kick-butt kinda of girl who just had incredible strength and courage (two things that I desperately need throughout this process). The numbers 1976. . .the year I was born.

2. Avatar: Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, Outerbanks, NC. I lived in NC for 4 years and it was honestly one of best periods of my life. However, like all residents of a given state/location. . .I never made it to the Outerbanks until I moved away.

1.  Kushie is a childhood nickname, it's a short version of my maiden name and it has stuck with me into adulthood.  77 is my birth year.

My SN probably seems self explanatory however Ronnie is not my husband's name. It is, however, what I call him. And I was born in 1981. The avatar is from the Lake of Dreams at the Wynn in Las Vegas which is one of my favorite ways to spend an evening in LV. Well my name is very unoriginal its just my first letter then my last name...ever since college when that was assigned as my log init just worked ( well was maiden name then) I have to use it for work as well so less things to try to remeber...lol

My avatar is a pic from our wedding right after the vows. We were married in vegas a the little white wedding chapel and this was right outside the doors about 10minutes later. Its one of my favorite pics because well he looks amazing and I have since changed my hair color and chopped it off and im not fond of it im trying to get it back...lol

1) My screen name is a mash up of my nickname and my other name.

I am have a name that's hard to pronounce, so somebody called me Malena and it stuck... 

2) my avatar is a Dream Tree. It's a blooming Cherry Tree and the flowers look like tears falling on the ground. That's what I feel like, I am dreaming, blooming and crying in hope that my flowers will turn into fruits one day.

1. My screen name is because I joined when I was pregnant last year for my first mc. My husband called our baby pinto bean. Every us he would say "what's my little pinto bean doing today" (I had about 5 us). The whole family called her that too.

2. My avatar is from an awesome woman on my BMB from my 3rd Mc. She thought I needed one and she gave me a crown because she had one too. I like to think I was her queen bitch.
