DS is a thumb sucker. I've been pretty laid back about it as he doesn't seem to always have his thumb in his mouth, it's mostly when he's tired/being put into his crib, though I have noticed more of a connection to his thumb in his mouth when he's holding one of his loveys whether he is tired or not lately. It really hasn't been an issue for us (I was a thumb sucker myself so he comes by it honestly), but I noticed that he's starting to get a bit of a callous on his thumb in the area that I assume his bottom teeth would be rubbing his thumb (probably started when he was teething). It doesn't seem to bother him in the least, but I don't know if this is something I should worry about. Anyone with experience of this or thoughts?
