my mom & I are considering going to FL to get the heck out of this MI freeze over and I'd be there weeks 30-31. is it safe to fly during this time in pregnancy? I'd love tips
it's been a while since we've been ANYWHERE so I think I'm just being a bit hypersensitive but for some reason I thought you weren't supposed to travel in the third trimester... no concerns but I will bring it up at my docs too!
I went to San Fran from Cleveland at 32 wks. Make sure you get up and walk around, as well as drink lots of water. I got bad cramps on the way out, due to dehydration.
Talk to your OB, but if you are having a normal pregnancy it is totally fine to fly until the airlines don't take you anymore. Buy compression stockings and walk around. Drink more water than you think you need (which may make you get up to pee anyway, so you don't forget to get out of your seat).
I flew to Italy at 29w and I could have comfortable done it at 33w. Now at 35w it would be getting a little iffy.
We are headed to Florida at the end of this month…I will be 32 weeks. I just make sure I have a copy of my medical records and let my OB know. Just got back from Ireland as well at 28 weeks. If everything is normal and typical I would not stress about it…just stay hydrated! And I see you already have two kiddos which is even more of a benefit when flying because you know your body and how it feels if something isn't right or heading that way…ya know?
Talk to your OB. I was supposed to go to a conference for work next week at 30 weeks, flying from NYC to LAX and my doctor would not give me clearance to go. I am having a perfectly normal pregnancy with no complications (thank God), but I am a RCS and she was very against me going and she's not really the alarmist type, she's pretty easy going about stuff like that so I was pretty surprised that she was so against it.
You can fly till 36 weeks. I flew to fl at 33 weeks

I flew at 34 weeks... it wasn't a problem at all. I would say the only reason you shouldn't fly is if your doctor advises against it or you're uncomfortable doing so. My doctor just said to make sure to stay very hydrated and get up occasionally to walk around and stretch your legs!
My doc told me up to 36 weeks as long as I'm not going anywhere exotic (FL is not), I'd definitely talk to yours. On a more personal note, I flew to Vegas a couple of weeks ago and found it very uncomfortable, bring comfy shoes!
