My Fiance wont touch me...

I am 38 weeks and 3 days and for the past 2 weeks my fiance wont touch me... He says that he doesn't want to induce labor... I don't get why... I am either going to go into labor on my own between now and Thursday or they are just going to take the baby... We have 3 days left and he doesn't want to induce labor... Has anyone else's significant other done this to them? I don't know what to do any more. I feel like I am the size of a house and and I want to feel wanted I guess.

I have gestational diabetes and the baby is already in the 75% and they don't want the baby to get too big. It is going to be a scheduled C-section.

It's the opposite for me lol my fiance won't get his hands off of me.  It's okay if it brings on labor, but from personal experience, it won't.  My fiance and I get intimate now so we can encourage his arrival. I'm still pregnant, so it didn't work lol. Maybe he's nervous about the baby's arrival. My fiance is, so he's been on edge a little lately. Nothing personal. But he isn't against having some fun, especially if it brings baby here!

My husband won't either it's like pulling teeth. Regardless if we have a whole he refuses he wants also baby in ad long as possible as do I but I want te closeness as well. We are already in diff beds due to my snoring so I will be ready for our little family to start.

My hubby gets freaked out sometimes, worrying that there's 'too much a-rockin' going on and that baby is going to get like, shaken baby syndrome in the womb (or something as similarly ridiculous). It helps to reassure him that everything is going to be okay and that it's GOOD to have sex.

Funny thing about pregnancy...it makes the women beg for sex when it's usually the other way around, eh? :-)

Honestly I've felt like such crap ever since entering my 3rd tri I think we've done it once. I don't think with the back pain I'm having I would even want to do it to try to bring the baby on.

And I have been in pain for a good portion of my pregnancy and sex is the only thing that has really helped with that pain (I don't know why). I get that he is nervous this is his first child but this is baby number 3 for me. I have told him that it is OK and my Dr and Physical Therapist have even told him that it is OK for us to have sex but he still doesn't want to induce labor 3 days before we get induced... I really miss the closeness of it.

I wouldn't worry. It's only a short amount of time and he's just showing concern. My DH won't do anything sexual because he thinks "the baby might be watching". Funny because he doesn't think the baby is watching when I'm giving him an old-fashioned.

Awww I guess I kind of understand his fear of starting labor, but honestly the baby is well cooked at this point, and if labor were to start, it would be because your body is ready. I'd be more concerned about the actual upcoming induction, if anything. But that's another story, and if your doctor has determined that an induction is in your best interest, then it likely is. The good thing in all of this is that you are almost done with this pregnancy, and things will get back to normal soon, although you may discover a new "normal", which is common after baby comes. Hang in there, Mama. You're almost there!

My husband and I have been intimate during pregnancy (although, mostly I thought it would be me not wanting to because I feel crappy a lot lol) but lately I think the idea of it getting closer and becoming so real freaks him out a little. He says he feels wrong doing those kinds of things sometimes knowing his daughter is inside. So, perhaps it is also a bit emotional? Sometimes men can be good at hiding their feelings, so he might just have concerns he doesn't want to worry you with. I think even if my husband doesn't say it outright, I should assume that if I have this much emotion about our first baby and all the changes it will bring, he must too and it could just be his way of showing that

My DH waits for my clues as to when we can make love.  I know he's probably in the mood much more than me, but sometimes I have various aches and pains that make it difficult to want to be touched.
