How is weight loss going? How much weight is still hanging on? (I'm actually interested in this as a healthcare provider, and was curious about the stats 4-5 months after baby.)

  • I'm still about 7 lbs. over my pre-pregnancy weight and also shaped a little differently, wider hips, larger ass, thicker midsection (like I needed anymore there). It's not horrible, but I definitely look different.

    I feel like I need to step up some toning especially with warmer weather in a couple months and ICK I can't even imagine getting into a bathing suit right now, much less even glancing at a bikini!

  • I am usually not one to keep track of my weight, but I have a feeling I still have 5 or so pounds to go before I hit pre-pregnancy weight.  These sub zero temperatures here in ND has kept me inside too many days.  I know once the weather warms up and we actually see spring and summer I will lose those last few pounds walking to the park and everything with my girls.
  • I am at prepreg weight from first pregnancy, but I had lost weight before I got preg#2. I'm comfortable if I am where I am now, but still have some catching up to do since prepreg#1, that was my highest non-preg weight ever.


  • I voted the second but I am 20lbs down from pre pregnancy weight which sounds great... Until I get naked. My belly is saggy when I bend over and my pelvis is kinda "weird"image
  • I'm only a couple pounds over my pre pregnancy weight...but I had some weight to lose in the first place so I still have a ways to go.

  • I had a csection and the next day I was back to pre-preg weight and then at my 6 week check I was 2lbs less. But I have gained that back and just now have gotten back to losing weight and am back to pre-preg again.
  • Apparently I lost all of my pregnancy weight but I am still giant and don't fit into my prepreg jeans therefore I am fat and voted are we really supposed to lose this weight? 
    Dammit. I need an intervention.

  • I'm back to pre-pregnancy weight, and my clothes all fit except some shirts b/c of my massive BF boobs. My midsection is a bit "softer" than it was before, but I also haven't been to the gym since giving birth :/ My workout these days is the constant walking, bouncing, etc. with my 18lbs chunk :) Vacuuming the house with him in the Ergo is seriously hard!

  • I am already at my PP weight with DD, but I had about 15 I wanted to lose from there before I got pregnant with DD, so I am working on that

    I've had this happen to a couple people I know.  My sister went from a size 3 to a 0 after having her second kid.

    I have not done anything to try to lose weight, just don't have time right now.  I am probably up 30lbs still.  After the kids and I get adjusted from the time change this weekend I will try to figure out a time to start working out for the first time in years.

  • Back down to pp weight but shaped differently.  My boobs have pretty much disappeared :(  I never had much to begin with but now we're in like, training bra territory.  My rib cage  has expanded though and hasn't gone all the way back down, so the bra strap size has gone up but cup size is probably AA or something now. Really, I've just stopped wearing one most days.  Also I have no muscle tone left in my core and have a touch of diastasis recti, so I'll be starting physical therapy to get that under control.

  • Was back at prepregnancy within the first month but not in any pre clothes. I bought jeans in a size larger and they used to be tight but are getting looser now. I have a belly that I didn't have before and still some back squish that came in the first few months pregnant. Definitely a different body than I used to have.

    I am up 3 pounds from pp weight but 13 from where I would like to be. But I find lots of excuses not to exercise and eat brownies. Mainly the weather. I was anxious to get back to running but with this weather - no thank you. I use the excuse that I don't want to jepordize my supply.

    I hit pregnancy weight ... I don't know if it's just luck or BFing , I'm not a bad eater. I really want to work out because I need to tone ... I can see the difference in my body ... Hips are wider ... My tummy is not bad but def needs toning and of course the boobs are just big. I also want to tone my thighs ... Didn't love how I looked in a bathing suit. Need serious motivation.

  • I'm down about 10 lbs from pre pregnancy. I feel like I've lost a lot of my appetite, and this LO keeps me busy...not wanting to be put down. My jeans sag quite a bit in the butt I think bc my hips are wider. The wt loss is nice though.

  • Haven't stepped on a scale since my 6w check up.

  • This is so depressing..... I need to lose like 60lbs. I have actually gained since I had DS2 due to staying home. Being a CNA I ran off all the calories so it didn't matter what I ate. I eat exactly the same now but don't get to exercise like I used to at work :(
  • Aside from the lingering stretch marks, I think I look better now than I have in years. I am definitely below my pre-preg weight. I think it's bc I had to cut out dairy, which is forcing me to think about what I'm eating and make good choices.

    But I can't have cheese and my kid doesn't STTN so you win some, you lose some, right?

  • I'm about 8 lbs under my prepreg weight, which I actually don't like. I used to love my butt and it's disappeared so my jeans don't fit at all. While I sort of like the new boobs bc I've always been small chested, it makes some shirts too tight to wear and I've got too much invested in pretty Victoria Secrets bras that no longer fit!

  • I gained 24 lbs while pregnant and have lost 34 lbs. I'm 10 lbs under what I was when I got pregnant but I have some belly flab now, whereas before my stomach was pretty flat. My legs have always been big so no change there.

    I gained 60 pounds, lost 25 right away in baby, placenta, and retained water.  I have been working on losing weight for 2 months now and have only managed to drop 7 more pounds. 
  • I always forget to answer my own polls! I have about 15 lbs I'd like to lose; I'm 10 away from PP weight, but when I got KU'd I had just lost a bunch of weight and was looking hawt. I haven't been jogging for almost 3 weeks because I injured my IT band, but I have been walking with the Ktan. And of course, I am doing my low carb, low calorie diet. #Idrinkallthethings #itwontworkthesameifyoudrinkallthethings

  • I still have 25 to lose. I gained 60. It takes me the full year to lose it. If I change my diet too much too fast I always seem to lose my supply.

    I am kind of curious to see what happens when I am not pregnant or nursing just to see what I look like. Since I have been bfing or pregnant since 2009 (minus a small break that I remember quite fondly).

  • I am actually 10 pounds lighter than when I got pregnant, but I am shaped differently.  I had a major meltdown the other day because I couldn't fit in my skinny jeans even though I weigh less. My hips are just wider now and the pants are low rise so I broke down and bought some different jeans that don't sling so low on the hips.

  • I'm up 10 pounds from where I was when I got pregnant with DD, but that was still up about 15 pounds from where I was when I got pregnant with DS, which was still about 15 pounds up from my lowest (and healthiest weight) *sigh* Long road ahead. The cold/ icy weather is making me crazy.  I just want to go run around the park.  It is so hard to motivate myself to hang out on the treadmill in my dark basement.

  • I'm scared to step on the scale. While I was BFing I was 15 lbs under pre pregnancy weight. Now I have no idea pretty sure if I step on the scale it will say "TOO MUCH"

  • I am about 20 lbs lighter than my pre-pregnancy weight.  My body is still shaped differently though, in my ribs and hips.  I was in a normal range to start out with, now I am slightly underweight (need to gain back at least 3 lbs).  I have been struggling to keep weight on between staying so busy with the baby, being stressed (I tend to eat less when under stress, also I have a history of ED), and breastfeeding.  I try to inspire myself to eat more calories by focusing on the need to keep up the calories for my breast milk supply, knowing that I want my daughter to be healthy/have a healthy body image and by knowing that in order to conceive again I will need to be in a normal weight range.  I actually wrote down a meal plan of healthy ideas for breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks.  I thought that I was going to have trouble with the weight gain during pregnancy (I really didn't at all, which felt great... finally felt like it was okay to eat without guilt)... what surprised me was how hard this hit after the baby was here.  The combo of stress, being alone, etc. has been a perfect firestorm.  I have really had to stay on top of it.  It's a struggle, and it makes me insane.

  • I gained 22 lbs and lost it all by about 8 weeks pp. I gained a few back but am now 3lbs under my pp weight. Another 10 to lose to get back to wedding weight. Just got back to Pilates last week and have been watching calories for 2 weeks. Not fun but I want to start my next pregnancy weighing less than I did with DD.
