We already have the day off from work (schools, federal government) and are expecting 12 inches of snow but so far nothing. I'm skeptical. The storms always miss this area or we get a dusting. If we have to deal with making up a day, I at least want tons of snow!
We were supposed to get a bunch of ice, but thankfully it switched over to snow faster than they thought. A couple of years ago we had an AWFUL ice storm. We had no electricity for 14 days.
We have about an inch or so on top of a thick layer of slush. I am off and hubs tried to go to work and had to turn around. They are calling for a foot.
We were supposed to get anywhere from 3-7 inches. I'd say we got about 3. Friday and Saturday, they kept referring to it as "the big one". Nope. We got a good 5-6 inches several weeks ago. I always feel cheated when we don't get as much as they warn us.
The state of Texas is shut down again today for ice. Hubby got off today, but I still get to drive to the hospital tonight... yay.
OMG yes. We have about 1/2 in of ice on all the roads around here. So I'm stuck at home trying to "work" and take care of LO since her daycare is closed. DH made it to work okay, but he usually has to go in.
