2 days of spit up

Last night dd spit up 5 times after her evening bottle and a few times throughout the day before that.  Tonight she has spit up several times as well. She's never had any issues before and I've been giving her less formula in her bottles these past few days. I posted in another thread how the sitter has been feeding her more but that's on Mondays and Tuesdays so know it's not that now. Any ideas? I don't think reflux would start now randomly, right? I'm going to call the pedi in the morning, but I'm worried.

Re: 2 days of spit up

  • Has she pooped lately? LO has started spitting up more the past couple weeks, and it always seems to be worse when he's gone a couple days without pooping.

Either way, babies are going to spit up, it's just what they do. As long as it doesn't affect weight gain, the pedi probably isn't going to do anything about it (especially if it's only been going on 2 days) Try not to worry mama!

  • She's been pooping normal and she spits up a huge amount and then smiles. Idk. It just worried me because she's never done it before.

  • I was told if LO is a happy spitter then there is no problem. I could be wrong. Dd spits up a ton too.

My baby has never stopped spitting up lol I'd say if you're baby is acting happy and fine then it's probably nothing to worry about
Me too, puke city.  I hear a burp and immediately run for a receiving blanket.

  • My babe started spitting up over the past couple weeks. Never had before. I just roll with it. It doesn't seem to affect her.

As long as it's not overly frequent vomiting multiple times, and/or with diarrhea, where you think she could get dehydrated then I'd just watch it. It's probably harmless.

  • Thanks @Heather6789. Glad to know I'm not the only one.

Same. I'm not sure why my FI hasn't realized this yet. Everytime he picks her up after just ate he gets puked on. Every.single.time.

Sorry, no advice. Yesterday we went through 12 burp clothes alone (the big cloth diaper ones - not the tiny cutesy printed ones). DS has always been a spitter - he has reflux, but even being on meds he still spits up, he just doesn't scream afterwards.
