weaning off AM bottle

Hi all!

up until last week, our kids were getting 2 bottles a day. during the day, they get milk in a straw cup so I know that they will drink it from that.

so we are trying to take away the morning bottle and give The straw cup instead. for a week, it has been hell. the used to be so happy in the morning after having their bottle. Now, they Flail and scream the whole time we're trying to get them ready basically until they get to daycare. they end up drinking the milk at daycare. We even tried to distract them with their Favorite tv show which I don't even approve of TV that early in the morning. It doesn't really work anyway.

They are about 19.5 months. any suggestions?

they seem to wake up in such a bad mood without having their bottle first.

I am probably no help since i took my LO bottle at 12 months but i think your little ones are just expressing their feelings and there will be an adjustment period. toddlers are string willed. they like to push boundaries, i tthink you just need to give it some time. They need to adjust to the change. Of course the beginning is hard but I am sure with time they will come to accept milk from their sippy
