Baby shower invitation question. OK to use photo paper?

My sister and I are trying to figure out the baby shower invitations. She bought the template on Etsy so now we just need to print them. She wants to print them at walmart on 4X6 photo paper. I think that may be a little tacky since it would be so thin. I'm thinking we should have it done on card stock. What do you guys think?

Card stock. I agree that the photo paper would by flimsy and may appear cheap. The card stock will print nicely.

I actually have seen several shower invitations printed on photo appt that came out really nice, but cardstock will look great too!

I have seen both and they both turned out fine! I just printed some for my friend's shower and had them done at Staples.

Card stock would be my preference.

Card stock. & a word of caution - my sister bought a template on etsy that she could print herself - the colors printed out funky so make sure that you do a tester or two.

Card stock always looks nicer, but my friends ordered my invitation off of Etsy (printable) and then had them printed through Shutterfly on photo paper and they look really nice.

My invites are done on photo paper from Walmart and they turned out great!

I did the same for my SILs baby shower invites and had them printed on card stock.
