Pregnant after IF

Anyone else dealing with a short cervix?

I had my anatomy scan on Fri. And my cervix is measuring 2.9-3. So, I have to return to the peri on fri. For another check. I've read all about it and not sure what to think:(

Is this your first cervical length measurement? Its not technically short until it measures less than 2.5cm...so I hope it just stays where it is, bc honestly....short cervix sucks! Mine just kept getting shorter, even with my pessary placed and 2 weeks ago it measured 0.4cm (they stop checking at 28 weeks). I've been in the hospital since January 22nd for preterm labor and a shortened cervix....but I'm happy to have made it to where I am right now.  Looks like you are having a singleton? If your cervix continued to shorten, you would likely be eligible for a cerclage, where they stitch your cervix closed.

Keeping my FX that yours stays where it is bc you'd be just fine with that length :)

  • Thanks @monimu13! I have followed your story and it gives me hope if this goes down hill fast. I'm just hoping to maintain the length at Friday and to also begin seeing a great peri who I think will help make great decisions. Ugh...bed rest though would be hard...I feel for you. I can't barely stand when I'm stuck in from snow days. Keep being positive:)
