nightmare

I had a fantastic nightmare tonight that LO and I were in an insane plane crash. Pilot clipped a tower on takeoff and we went down over a neighborhood. Full on body parts, blood, & people scattered everywhere. Ummm I literally never want to fly again. It was SO REAL!

Re: nightmare

  • Holy fuck! I've never been on an airplane because, for as long as I can remember, I've had dreams like that... Being on a plane and it crashing. The worst one was when the airplane was completely glass so I could see everything. It was awful.

  • Ugh, awful.

I had some gory dreams when DS was a newborn. Freaky stuff.

  • My BF had a dream, when DD was about a week old, that I left her in the care of a pack of lions. He said he tried to get me to take her away from them and I was like "she'll be fine." And he said he was crying and I wouldn't listen. And when he told me this, I was like "do you secretly think I'm unfit as a mother?" LOL, it was actually a pretty funny conversation, and no, he doesn't think I'm unfit.

    LOL @Roxalot

Yeah they say you usually dream about what you think about before you go to sleep...but I def wasn't thinking about any of that. Planes, crashing, nothing. I was watching When Harry Met Sally. LOL! But yeah, I'm beyond freaked out. Maybe now that I'm a mom that stuff worries me more and that's why? While I was pregnant I had dreams ALL THE TIME about breastfeeding. Freakin' odd...but seriously...those were the only dreams I had. Baby at the boob.

  • Yeah, dreams can bring up some pretty deeply buried subconscious stuff, I think. They can also be pretty symbolic. I definitely think being a new mom and worrying more contributed to your dream about a horrible catastrophe.

  • Sounds like some good ol' hormonally driven panic dreams. I had those so often when DD was first born! Fortunately it's just a dream!
