I don't think I've seen the name Perry mentioned on here before, and am wondering what BNB thinks of it. For a boy.

I think either of the platypus from the Phineas & Ferb cartoon, or my big teddy bear dentist.  Both are good associations, and I love the name.

It's also the name of one of my favorite characters in L.M. Montgomery's Emily of New Moon series.

I know 2 kids one boy with the middle name Perry ( Maxwell first name) and a little girl named Peri. I like it for a boy MN. I like little Peri as a girl

I dated a guy named Perry in high school.  He is the only one I've ever known!  It's just ok to me, but I do like that it's not super popular and there wouldn't be 5 other Perrys in his class when he's older.

I'm so glad you're asking for a boy. It's not my style, really, but it's not a bad choice and it's not overly popular.

 I grew up knowing a few guys named Perry, all of various ages.

My first thought is "girl's name" because I associate it with a member of my favorite girl group (although she spells it Perrie). Then I think of Perry the Platypus. Eh. It's an okay name. Respectable enough but doesn't have much of a "wow that's a great name" factor.

Don't really care for it. Makes me think of the platypus.

It's my son's nickname. I called him Perry from the very beginning of my pregnancy as a joke (Perry the parasite) but it ended up that I picked a name that had this as the most likely nn. While I didn't really care for it at the beginning it really grew on me and I think it's cute now. But of course I'm biased. We use his full name at home, but all the daycare providers, except one picked up on Perry even though we never said to call him that.
