Hi everyone!! I just went to the doctor for my first appointment, pretty confident I was 5w 1d because I've been tracking closely & am almost positive when my implantation bleeding occurred. She gave me an exam and as she was feeling around asked if I was 8-9 wks based on my LMP. I said no and she said well, you either are further along or there might be multiples! I'm sooo anxious and have to wait until 3/28 for an ultrasound!! Anyone have a similar experience and ended up pg with twins?

OP it's more likely you have later dates than more than one baby. Keep us posted. But just wondering why wait until the end of march if she feels you could be 9 weeks or have multiples? Why is there no confirmation and dating u/s being done and what about the first tri screening if you chose to have that? I mean if there's possibilities of being further along that u/s shouldn't be an entire month away still. Something seems off there.
ETA: it's 1 am and I'm up nursing my twins so probably some spelling and grammar errors that I'm not going to fix. Also my thoughts probably make no sense but whateves. You all get what I'm trying to say.
These can be high risk pregnancies and need to be treated as such. I had u/s starting at 7weeks and once a week until out of 1st tri. I had a previous loss history, so that's extreme, but at least a 7 week u/s makes sense.
That said, I had my first exam at 9 weeks and she said my ute felt more like 12 weeks. I didn't think anything of it. My first us was at 20 weeks which is when we discovered twins. Since she made the comment and now you're concerned, go ahead and request an early us!

Yeah, hCG means nothing. Mine was right on target for a singleton, and it didn;t rise fast or anything. I had to have 3 draws to make sure it was doubling at an appriproate rate even, so there you go. I had zero inkling there were twins until that first u/s.
I would also be asking for an earlier U/S if your doc even suspects multiples or thinks you might be further along. It's strange to wait so long in either case.
TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
Good luck on the 28th.

Of course he could have been full of shit. My chart says I measured 4-6 weeks at that appointment. Who knows. How much of a difference can a few tiny specks make at that point?
