Pirate Booty!  I've really been craving salty lately.  Bought a bag of it for my son and almost ate all of it.  Need to get more ASAP!

I just looked up the difference between Smarties. There are differences between the Smarties wafer candies as well. (This was the type I thought of when I read the original post and made me think ... ick.) The chocolate m&m type would be great though.

I don't really have cravings. More like food inspiration. .. If I see it or hear about it I obsess until I get it. I craved taco bell after my glucose test Thursday... I do have the sweet and salty craving all day and generally eat everything in the pantry

Yep! They are more similar to M&Ms but in my opinion they taste much better!!

What u guys call smarties I think we call those rockets...they are like the little packages of powdered sugary candies everybody buys over Halloween!

They are so good! I spent 6 years in the states going to school so I would always stock pile on smarties and a few other Canadian goodies when I would
Come home for visits so I could give them to my friend and people to try!



I don't think you guy have coffee crisp or aero bars either??? Or ketchup chips? Lol they are actually really good!!! And apparently kinder surprise eggs are banned in the states? They are so yummy tho! I haven't been too bad with pregnancy cravings so I'm not sure what has gotten into me the last few days!!!!

I was going to say, I didn't think Smarties (as we know them in Canada) were a thing in the US.

What I'd like to know is can you still get Crispy M&Ms anywhere? Has that become an exclusively US thing? Because we had them at one time and I loved them, then they disappeared. Why?!

I haven't heard of crispy M&Ms!! I did however buy white chocolate M&Ms the other day... I think I've also seen coconut and pretzel but not crispy!

I love the white fudge pretzel flips... So sad you can only get them in the US they are so amazing (if u like white chocolate)

I'm glad at least one other person has seen them before! I was starting to think maybe I dreamed them up.

I just tried googling for them and according to Wikipedia:

In 1999, Crispy M&M's were released. They were slightly larger than the milk chocolate variety and also featured a crispy wafer center. They were discontinued in the United States in 2005. They are still available in Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia.

Mmm smarties are the best thing in the world and way better than m&ms. Also we Canadians have aero bars and our kitkat bars are way better (the chocolate) , so are our bounty bars (like your mounds). DH works in the states and his colleagues are always asking him to bring chocolate over for them lol

I may have taken my Rice Krispie Treat craving to an extreme.  Turns out Costco sells them in 55 bar boxes...

Also, according to my grocery store, they are a breakfast food item, not a cookie.  So that means I'm being totally balanced and healthy, right?

Hershey's chocolate ice cream with crumbled thin mints on top or mixed in. That's what I want now. I need to stop being lazy and go pick up the boxes of cookies I ordered from my cousin. The chocolate covered strawberries in my fridge I made up the other night are just going to have to do for now.

It's a Dutch treat that you can only get at very few places (usually cost plus world market or Dutch specialty stores).

Basically, it's amazing sprinkles that you can put on anything but the most popular is on buttered bread. There are tons of flavors but the best is the real milk chocolate (chocoladehagel Melk).

My grandma is from Holland and got us hooked on these as kids. I've been tempted to order the massive containers off Amazon with how quickly DH and I go through the small boxes.
