Hi ladies,I was wondering if any of you had an experience with slight brown spotting. I only have it when I pee, I drops out a little and looks brown water when I wipe.I called my OB yesterday and they had me go in for blood tests. My HCGwas over 1900 so they had my come in for an U/S as they thought the high numbers meant I was futher along and could possibly see a heartbeat. They did both tummy and transvaginal U/S and saw no H/B. My doc said everything else looked fine (cervix closed, sac, etc) and she added the baby probabably isnt as far along as thought (they had me for over 6 weeks because my last LMP. I have 34 days cycles which of course they wouldnt take into account.. until now).Anywho, I go on Monday to see if HCG levels have risen and another U/S next Friday. I guess my questions is, what do you ladies think? Should I be concerned? Is this normal? I am going on day two of this brown discharge. It really isnt much of it but enough to have this mama a nervous reck. I have no cramps. I still have strong preg sypmtomps and this is my first pregnancy. Thanks in advance ladies
Thanks Rlyttle! I tell myself that but it helps hearing it from someone else besides myself or my husband... after all he is a man and what does he know! lol JK!
I had red spotting last pregnancy and everything turned out to be fine, so you just never really know. Sounds like you are being monitored, so that is all you can really do. Hope your u/s next week shows your baby and a strong hb!
I had this 3x during first tri, up to 8 weeks when it turned red, but so far everything is going well. Brown spotting is *usually* not huge cause for concern, bit still nerve wracking! Good luck!
Thank you all for the advice ladies! It has lifted my spirits greatly! The spotting seems to be lighter. I am praying it goes away and all is well. Seems like this is all pretty common. Wishing you all a safe, healthy and happy pregnancy!
I have had brown spotting since 2/12 (8 days before I got my surprise BFP after a dr appt). I agree that it makes you a nervous wreck! As long as the flow doesn't increase and it doesn't turn red then there isn't much you can do but wait. I've been closely monitored and so far so good! My doctor also recommended pelvic rest and no vaginal insertions as long as the spotting continues.
