This is the weekly June '14 PgAL check-in. This is a place for anyone due June 2014 that has suffered a previous pregnancy loss. PgAL is an exciting but scary place so please feel free to share your thoughts, concerns, milestones and vents. Mostly, this check-in is to remind all of us that we are not alone in the journey and to offer support along the way. Check-in is every Saturday.

How far along are you? 26 weeks 4 days

Team / Name? Blue...still playing with names..it's difficult!

Got the courage to buy anything yet? I have gotten a few things..but yesterday I picked up a onesie with a pug on it.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Overall I feel good. Feeling him move daily is a huge relief. Emotionally I get upset every now and then thinking about his little heart. I have a Pediatric Cardiologist appt next week to see how his little heart is developing.

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? Any baby awesomeness this week? Nothing new to report with the little guy.

Got the courage to buy anything yet? We've actually bought a lot. Crib, dresser, glider, and a few knick knacks for the nursery. I'm quieting my PgAL brain by saying we'd use the big purchases for our next baby too. Even if she is a girl.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Can't sleep. That just started this week. Between getting up a bunch to pee and back pain I'm wondering if I'll ever sleep again.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share?
Had an appt yesterday and everything looked good. They did a 4D and gave us a DVD of pics and a few video clips. So fun to watch! I have my 2 hr GTT at my next appt in 2 weeks. I wanted to do the 2 hr bc so many fail the 1 hr and I just wanted to do it once and be done.

Got the courage to buy anything yet? Lots of stuff but I can't bring myself to get out her bedding yet and wash it.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Physically I've been having alot of hip pain when I over do it. Emotionally, I'm doing much better.

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? Any baby awesomeness this week? No craziness this week and the baby is getting even more noticeable on the outside when she moves.

We're planning a baby moon this fall when LO is 4 or 5 months old. We're going about 45 minutes away to the Outer Banks of NC. We're planning on going on a bi-plane ride and probably hike up a lighthouse or two.

Got the courage to buy anything yet? We've been buying things here and there. Last weekend, there was a sale at BRU so we got a new bathtub and the Momaroo (pretty excited for that)

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? I feel pretty good. I'm handling my emotional stuff and fears better. Physically, sleeping sucks because my back and hips are killing and I get killer heartburn in the middle of the night.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I have a regular OB appointment on Tuesday. I'm also down to having only 10 progesterone shots left!

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? Not really, I'm trying to keep it at bay. He's a little ninja in there so that gives me comfort.

Any baby awesomeness this week? Last weekend, DH was finally able to feel him kick. It's funny becuase he never felt our other two sons (mainly because he wasn't patient to hold his hand there and wait); his face was priceless.

How far along are you? 24 weeks today!

Team / Name? Green. Still deciding on names...

Got the courage to buy anything yet? Yep we're doing the nursery this weekend so we've bought most of the stuff for it

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically- got really sick on Wednesday this week and had to call off work...not sure if it was pregnancy related or a stomach bug. Either way it was not fun. Emotionally- feeling good and can't believe I'm 24 weeks already!

Going in for an appointment on Monday and will be doing my glucose test...really not looking forward to it because I'm really worried I'm going to throw up the drink

Baby awesomeness is just feeling the baby kick and watching my belly move! Love that!

We already went on our babymoon....went to Charleston and Savannah. It was fun but it was freezing (thanks polar vortex). I'd love to go back when it's nicer weather.

Team green, unnamed at this point!

Registry is almost complete. Adding things here and there.

Had an appt on Wednesday and it looks like the placenta has moved out of the way! Got to see the first 4D image of the babe and it was amazing

I'm feeling pretty good. My right eye has been swelling up but I'm not sure if it's pregnancy related or it's allergies and spring is on the way! (Hoping the latter).

Probably the craziest thing is being paranoid when I don't feel movement for a awhile. I usually try to slam some ice cold water to wake the little one up when this happens!

If we did a pre-pregnancy moon to Cali the month before the BFP- if we do anything else it will be a quick weekend trip as the third trimester is quickly approaching (insane)!

My never ending UTI has finally decided to go away yay! But it's been hard at work standing all day. I've tried to sit more often but as a teacher it's not easy. Been walking funny but not waddling more like limping.

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? Any baby awesomeness this week?
I think I am finally starting to show. Like people who don't know I'm pregnant can tell which before I don't think was happening. I grew this week lol and so the clothes I bought in the beginning of the pregnancy at my usual stores just a size bigger aren't cutting it anymore. So I think I need to make a stop at the maternity store and pick up a few things. And baby has been kicking like a rock star, except not much at work probably because it is so stressful for me there.
My girls love to talk to my belly and this week the baby was actually responding to DD2, it was the cutest thing. He was kicking up a storm and DD1 got upset BC he didn't do that for her but she's more rambunctious and DD2 was being more gentle. So I told her next time speak to him more calmly and gently

We will probably go on a little family vaca during spring break, somewhere local with an indoor pool so probably not considered a babymoon but it's something.

How far along are you? 24 weeks today (due June 21)

Team / Name? Blue. We are 75% on Zachariah Louis but I'm looking for alternatives to the first name, can't find one we both love.

Got the courage to buy anything yet? Just two pieces of clothing. And some yarn to crochet him a blanket. One of these days(soon would be nice) I will actually get DH to look at cribs with me...or just give up and buy one without him.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I've got a 24 week appointment on Tuesday. I've got some weird symptoms going on (major anxiety, strange twitchy feeling in my vagina (TMI! sorry) and crazy tired) but nothing I'm not able to push through.

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? Any baby awesomeness this week? DH felt baby kick last night. He felt what he called a "twitch" a few weeks back but last night he said he felt it no problem.

No baby moon. I actually hate that term. I'm thinking of trying to plan a little something for May, just a weekend get away somewhere not too far. our 1st wedding anniversary is in May and DH's birthday is 4 days after our EDD so we can't do anything for him this year, and with moving the first of July it seems like an after baby get away isn't in the picture for a while. It would be an early birthday and anniversary trip.

Got the courage to buy anything yet? Nothing. We've bought absolutely nothing. I guess we need to get on that.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Physically I'm pretty darned exhausted. Work has been crazy busy and I'm to the point where I can't sleep more than 3-4 hours at a time without waking up (to pee, from discomfort, from who-knows-what).

Emotionally I've been worried about how much he's moving (or not). I can feel him moving frequently throughout the day, but in the past week it's so gentle; I've gotta be really paying attention.

Got the courage to buy anything yet? I keep saying nothing, but we did buy her a lovie long before we even got pregnant.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Lucia is on her 3rd day of a 103 degree fever, with some vomiting. So I've been paying very little attention to my body or how Viviana is doing. I'll do my GD test in like 2 or so weeks, and then have an appointment the week afterwards.

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? Any baby awesomeness this week? I'm so happy that Viviana moves so much in there. It is a relief while I'm so worried about Lu that she's just plugging away in there and I don't have to worry about her too. I did feel bad yesterday for Lucia - they didn't really think she had the flu, and if I wasn't pregnant they wouldn't have done the (painful!) swab to see if it was the flu. Either way she won't get medication for it, we'll just have to wait it out. But because it can be harmful to Viviana, I would need to get medication if Lucia had the flu, so she had the swab

@MollySm Hey! We live in a 2 bedroom apartment, too. Not technically a university apartment, but my husband is getting his PhD and it's full of students, so kinda.

Trying to decide if we wanna shell out $100 more a month for the 3 bedroom right now...!

How far along are you? 24w1d with a boy (confirmed the penis for the third time via ultrasound. Heh.)

Got the courage to buy anything yet? Had my son pick out an outfit for his baby brother. He picked out a little one with two teddy bears hugging each other and said it was him and the baby. *heart explodes*

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I had about two weeks between throwing up and feeling big and achey...this pregnancy isn't quite as glowy as my first! I have my 1 hour glucose test Tuesday. My own version of Fat Tuesday!

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? Any baby awesomeness this week? Wellll, I ended up in L&D for some watery discharge, which is pretty PGAL of me to even notice, because last time I wasn't nearly this paranoid about something going wrong. :-/ But the awesome thing is I have plenty of amniotic fluid and the baby doesn't want an hour to go by without reminding me that he is, indeed, in there.

QOTW – Are you planning on a Baby Moon before or after the Baby comes? Have you already went on a Baby Moon? We are big on traveling, so any reason to travel! We went on a pre-TTC#2 trip with our family of 3 to Puerto Rico to enjoy one last hurrah before I got pregnant and I couldn't go on long walks or drink pina coladas. Things didn't go according to plan, so that was 14 months ago. Then right after I had my second miscarriage this summer, my husband took our first trip without our son to Hawaii (and enjoyed the mai tais)! We are contemplating a spring trip to somewhere warmer - maybe in April? Maybe to a beach? We love cities, but being all big and stuff makes me want to lie around like a beached whale...

How far: 23 weeks

Team/name: blue, no name yet...

Buy anything yet?: I finally did! I bought an outfit for the baby. (See pic below) I had to hide it though because my 3 year old thinks it's for him and keeps trying to put it on.

Physically/emotionally: feeling a lot more movement which is awesome! Unfortunately I'm having a lot of BH contractions. Hopefully it's nothing. I'm trying to be conscious of my water intake and I'm decreasing my heavy lifting. I have an appointment Monday so I'll check with my doctor then.

PgAl crazy?: yes, yes I am.

but nothing new.

QOTW: no babymoon for us. I did just get some beautiful diamond studs though.

I don't really need to go anywhere because traveling with my 3 year old is always stressful and leaving him for an extended period of time is hard since we don't have anyone to watch him right now.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Seeing an NP at my docs office this monday, should (hopefully) be a pretty boring appointment

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? Any baby awesomeness this week? Nothing exciting, just getting more active, which keeps the the PGAL crazy away.

QOTW – Are you planning on a Baby Moon before or after the Baby comes? Have you already went on a Baby Moon? We just returned from ours, took a cruise with stops in Jamaica and Grand Cayman. SO relaxing and enjoyable, but odd to be sober on vacation! FYI to any mommas going somewhere sunny, I guess we are much more sensitive to sunburn so use lots of sunscreen, even in the shade! I went without one day by the pool because I was in a shaded area, still burned to a crisp. But if the biggest complaint I have with my life right now is a painful sunburn I am pretty blessed.

Team / Name? Pink and 90% sure we're going with Sawyer... might just have to wait until we meet her though. No mn yet.

Got the courage to buy anything yet? My DH and I went shopping last weekend and he picked out a cute little outfit for her. I think it really helped him to connect more since he hasn't felt her yet.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Physically/emotionally I'm about the same as always... My next appointment isn't until March 20th. I get to have another scan because the dr wasn't able to get all the pictures of her heart, which I'm excited to see her again, but hoping everything's ok! Right after the scan I'll have my glucose test... it'll be a fun afternoon.

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? Any baby awesomeness this week? Same crazy. Baby girl is still moving about the same as she did last week. Can't wait for DH to feel her! I feel a little behind with everyone saying that they see movement already and that their DH's are feeling the baby... I just have to remind myself that everyone's different.

@amwangel - It's funny that we're in the same position! Our 3 bedroom will actually end up being less expensive. The overall rent is about $30 more/ month, but in the 2 bedrooms you pay electricity, and in the 3 bedrooms you don't, so overall it will be slightly cheaper. That being said, itwas still a hard decision because though there is overall more square footage, the living areas and kitchen are smaller and the outside area isn't as nice. In the end, Lucia is a great sleeper, and really prefers to sleep in her own space (when we stay in hotels and share a room it is always so difficult!). We don't want to make her less good at it, and we want to give Viviana the same opportunity to learn to be a good sleeper, so in the end the 3rd bedroom was just too big a draw.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share?

Feeling good emotionally. Physically, still dealing with round ligament pains and am starting to feel my hips too. I guess it's getting to be that point of pregnancy. I hear that RLP sometimes get better in 3rd tri, so I'm holding out hope! Taking my GTT test next week or the following maybe, and have my next MW appointment in mid-March. After that we're to the every two week appointments!

Not planning a Baby Moon, and we didn't take one for DS either. For this baby, we don't have a lot of extra $$ to throw around and I'm saving all my personal days for maternity leave.

Got the courage to buy anything yet? Nothing new purchased this week

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Pretty good overall, except MS came back the other morning and it was not fun!! I had a couple nights of diarrhea (sry tmi) which made me feel awful! And my cankles are getting worse after work, I really need to get some compression socks!!

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Just had a check up Monday next appt is 3/17.

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? I was a little nervous on Fri cuz I wasn't feeling good after being up late due to the diarrhea. I felt very off and a little crampy, I think I was a little dehydrated. I was paranoid I wasn't feeling as much movement from my little guy! But he's been moving like crazy since so I'm not worried anymore!

Any baby awesomeness this week? On Sunday I felt him twice on the outside!!! Just waiting for DH to be able to feel him!!!

Moon? No babymoon for us, we'd rather spend the money getting the house ready for the baby. We desperately need central air!!! It gets disgustingly hot in our house in the summer!

Well today would have been my due date so I'm a bit depressed lately. But I'm so thankful for this pregnancy and have to keep reminding myself of that. No real updates except my migraines seem to be coming back and I have sciatica. I have 26w appt on wed.
We went to Florida last week to see my ILs. I'll count that as my baby moon.

@MollySm That's interesting that it's not more expensive! So many factors to consider! We love our apartment building and location so we wanna stay here - but moving to another apartment would involve packing - bleh. My son slept next to me for the first 6.5 months - so I'm thinking we'll do the same this time to make nursing easier (I am lazy!). And since we might move again next summer (husband's year-long internship ends June 30th 2015 - will be looking for a tenure track, post-doc, job, etc etc) - I don't know if it's worth the hassle to move apartments for 5 months of the baby needing its own room! I don't think we could have the boys share until the baby is older. We have a big master bedroom and could totally fit a crib and a room divider in there...so I think we're leaning toward not moving. We do love our built ins in this particular apartment - a wall of bookshelves in the living area and a long desk in my son's room. Anyway! Lots to think about.

Holy crap that was longer than I intended! Oops.

@amwangel - It does seem like if you are planning another move a year later, it might just be way too much of a hassle for very little gain. Good luck figuring it out!

How far along are you? 25wks

Got the courage to buy anything yet? Finally started buying stuff. This week we purchased his car seat and stroller. Also went to a mom 2 mom sale and got a few more outfits for him. Next week we are ordering his bedding and crib. It also looks like some friends and family will be throwing a small sprinkle for me so I've been registering as well.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically I'm ok. My back is starting to ache a little, but I have also started working out so I am hoping that will help. Emotionally, really well since I can feel him moving and kicking all day.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I have to get my glucose test done this week, then monthly appointment next week and then at the end of the month we are doing a 4D ultrasound. We did it with our first DS and we want to do it for this LO as well.

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? Brain went a little crazy when I was moving like crazy this weekend and LO was quiet. Thankfully today he is back to his normal active self.

Any baby awesomeness this week? LO seems to like music, really kicks and moves as soon he hears it.

We are going to Florida in April. It's with our DS, so does that count? If not, then most likely we will not have a baby moon for awhile.

@samm1983 We are moving days after my EDD so I feel you! Luckily, I have access to the place we are moving around May I get to start a nursery before we move, but thats the only room we get to deal with ahead.
