ergo users come in pls!

Good morning, ladies!

Question re: ERGO.  We already use a scarf carrier(it's clicky) and love it but are going to travel to Italy in two months and want something that allows LO to look around more/have him less "confined"/hot andplusalso I like the idea of the click-on click-off as an alternative.

I know we've talked about this a million times over but I don't recall a specific question on the types of Ergo carrier.  Anyone have experience/opinions on the original vs. performance vs. stowaway? (they are clicky)

ETA: yes I realize the 360 is coming out in April but forward facing.....not sure on that one.

We have the original and it's comfortable for both me and my husband. LO is happy in it as well. Sorry, I know nothing about the other types!

Ours is an original. I love it but have no experience with any others. Not sure if they all have the hood but you'll want one that does with all of that Italian sunshine!

I have the original.  It is comfortable, but I notice that DS gets overheated pretty easily in it.  We are in Texas though, so I am sure that makes a difference.  Now that he is more curious about his surroundings, he has less patience for it too.  I am thinking of trying out the hip carry mode because having a 180 degree around me is not enough for him apparently.

We have two of the original and love them! I could see them getting hot if you are in a warm climate though.

@babyherzog123 thanks for the video link-will definitely check it out. Just wondered what O13 thought as there are soooo many varied Internet opinions

@taylormarie923 we definitely need to think about the heat as summer here is almost as hot as Texas but with no AC also will be in Dallas area/Austin in July. On a side note I can't wait to float the river and eat some vegan blueberry pie at mothers. Oh and BBQ at coopers ... And maybe a trip out to Opie's for tatertot casserole. I seem to recall you being from Austin, though I could be mistaken. We lived there before before moving overseas.

Today I took mine out to a golf tournament all day. It's was 78 with a nice breezy and I didn't get too hot. I have the light colored original

I'm pretty sure this counts as me thread jacking my own thread but IDGAF because this is urgent!!!!

Go to mothers cafe (Hyde park area off duval/40-something street). It's a vegetarian restaurant. Everything is amazing. Super fresh ingredients. My faves: smoothies, (fruit) salad, tortilla soup, and I pine for their vegan blueberry pie served with Amy's Mexican Vanilla ice cream (ask for two scoops). Don't go in a rush as they're pretty chill and it can take a minute. They have a few patio seats that are great

have you ventured to the green belt?? Taco deli? Farmers market? Walked town lake?

Let me live vicariously through you!!!

@Mosymama and @sweettwilight16 we have definitely experienced overheating with the scarf - both LO and me!!!! With the performance/active have you been okay wearing it for long periods/lots of walking?  the only review I read that was negative on those was that there was less padding so it wasn't as comfortable? (although half the people said the opposite?)

I *finally* broke down and bought one. I got the original organic in a really pretty green color. Found it on ebay brand new for $70! Should be here Thursday, soooo excited!!!!
