Can we talk about Downton Abbey? *spoilers through season 4*

I waited all season for something to happen. It started off slow but I was like "This is ok. They're getting through Matthew's death. Things will pick up." I thought that to myself after every episode and then BAM! It's the season finale and STILL nothing has happened. The only thing that surprised me was Anna's story line. That episode and the one after it were hard to watch. I thought at the very least Mary would pick between those 2 guys to date, but nope.

I didn't mind that there was another Anna and Bates story line because there was nothing else going on. 

And really? Fighting over Alfred? Please.

I'm just hoping they don't kill off Isis. The series started in 1912 and now it is 1923. That dog just stays the same.

I think Mary should choose the one guy she hated at first. I like him. Mary needs a man that will challenge her.

But seriously, what is going on with the other sister's bf. What happened to him??

ETA: I'm also super bored with this servant love triangle - I like daisy but those other 3 all suck.

I agree about Bates! He creeps me out a tiny bit. I agree about Mary, I loved the pig episode and how proper they were eating eggs at the end!

I think the most exciting story line was about Mary's sister (can't remember her name)...anyone think she has a striking resemblance to the aunt that took her away to Switzerland????? Maybe she's her illegitimate daughter and her brother took her in and raised her? Hmmmm?

I really liked the finale. No it wasn't a cliffhanger but I felt like it was one of the better episodes of the season. At least no one major died this time! I loved the end with Carson and Ms. Hughes. I did think the season was painfully slow. I know lots of people hate the major time lapse but I kind of like it. It keeps things moving and opens up storylines. Like Mary it was too soon for her to consider dating but now that some more time has passed it gives the show and her character more options.

Isis?  What about Grandmama!? She's 12 years older than when the show started???  I was so mad when they did that to Anna, I love her.  I thought it would destroy her character but she seems to be doing ok.  And it looks like Bates possibly got away with murdering that guy??  Hopefully it's all in the past, I'm so glad Mary burned that ticket.  And do I sense a little romance between Carson and Mrs. Hughes?  I do wish cousin Rose and the band singer were still a thing.  Very controversial and I loved it!

I sort of like Miss Bunting....but it might be too early to make an informed decision.  Think about if Mary and Branson get together.  They're kids would be cousins and step siblings.  But I guess that's not too weird considering Mary and Matthew were cousins anyways!
