I don't know whether I'm overthinking this, but it's likely that the name we choose for our daughter (due in August) will result in initials that form a word. Not an offensive or bad word, but a word nonetheless. Our last name begins with P. We are locked in and committed to a middle name beginning with I. (It's in honor of a family member and we've already told everyone. Plus, we love it.) So basically most first names that begin with a consonant will result in initials that spell a word, LIP, SIP, HIP, DIP, TIP, you get the idea.
Is that a ridiculous thing to worry about, or would that affect your decision on the first name?
Re: To what extent do initials determine your name choices?
When you've been married this long, you need a ticker to remind you.
