OMG you guise UPDATE UPDATE x2

My best friend thinks her water just broke-- this is her first. It's a boy and she's at 40w 6d, so her and her H are heading to the hosp to get checked. I really hope this is it for her, otherwise she has an induction scheduled for tomorrow.

I am so nervous for her! I feel like an expectant dad right now.

Edit- UPDATE- her water did break! No real contractions yet but she was admitted and the baby is on his way! Squeee!

UPDATE, UPDATE- Baby Nicholas arrived on Saturday afternoon, after a very smooth and uneventful vaginal delivery. He was 7lb 15oz and very handsome-- and I got to hold him yesterday. I must admit I was nervous to hold him-- I thought I would get all sorts of feels about most likely never having another newborn, but the feels never came.

Friend is coming home today -- I am so pleased for her! Thanks for all of the well wishes!

How exciting!! I love a good natural birth before induction story, lol. It's like, eff you medical professionals, my body is doing this on it's own!

yay how exciting. One of my best mom board friends (ehhh, at this point, one of my bffs, ha) finally went into labor this morning too at 40 + 9 days!! I can't wait to meet this kid.
