How to tell new employer

So yesterday I was offered a great job with a fast food chain. I applied for this job a while ago. I was interviewed yesterday mid morning, and then called early evening with the offer.

I did not reveal in my interview that I was 15 weeks pregnant, so I am not sure when to bring it up. I go in today for paperwork, walk through, and meeting my staff.

Should I wait a bit? Or just I ahead and tell them. I do not plan to take much time after delivery, as long as it all goes well.

Congrats on the job! I don't blame you for not disclosing during the interview process. It's so hard to get a job right now, you don't want to give them any reason to not hire you. Discriminating against pregnancy is illegal, but it's easy for employers to say you "just weren't right for the job", and leave it at that.

My advice would be to wait a week or so until you get to know people, and then you can gauge on how the best way might be to tell them. If you're unable to hide growing baby, then do it as soon as possible. You might be surprised how receptive they are! I was in a similar position, and my new employers have been really great about the whole thing. Good luck!!

Like I said, I don't think you're wrong for not disclosing, it just makes things a little awkward when you end up telling and then discussing leave.  How much time do you plan on taking off?

@snowflake91011 With my last I only took 2 weeks and went right back to CNA work. With this job I can be out a week and be okay (as long as I have a good delivery). I also plan on working right up to the last min.

You didnt know your edd so you made a blanket post about when you were due (july/august/sept), introd on the june 14 board saying you were due that month, over on pgal saying you lost a twin, and then finally here on august (which was my bmb before my loss) being a true AW.
