Zap.pa (B), I.sis (G), N.ova (G)

This is the sibset I met today at a Kindergarten Round Up. I love Nova but I.sis and Zap.pa are not my style. Thought it was kind of neat though? At least the parents have a consistent "cool" style.

Portland, in a lot of ways, is really like Portlandia from what I've seen on commercials for it ( I am not a comedy person, so I haven't actually watched it.) One of the little boys in the kindergarten class we visited had dreadlocks.The siblings didn't shock me at all. I am actually more surprised when I meet young kids named Brittany or Henry. Haha!

I actually really only like Isis-- so pretty, and it's the name of the family doggie from Downton Abbey.

I do appreciate not hearing another set of Jack, Emma and Isabella names though!

I kind of dig Isis.  One of DD's friends' moms is named Isis.  Nova is NMS but okay.  Zappa is pretty weird.

The only one I like is Isis - but I have a soft spot for mythological names.

I can't separate Nova from Teen Mom and Zappa from Frank.

I think she mentioned them all once a few months ago! I recall them being fabulous.

My brother is the definition of Portland as portrayed on Portlandia. And guess what, he HATES the show!! hahah. He and my SIL named their baby girl Essie. I love it

Love Nova! I had a dear friend in college named Nova.  And I also had a T.A. named Isis.  Didn't really care for it.  But that sibset does seem to go together!

I knew an Isis in college, she was tall and gorgeous and it seemed very fitting, I think the name itself is pretty. On the other hand, the only Nova I have ever met was a horse, and Zappa I think Frank.

I was just thinking about how much I like Isis after watching the season finale of Downton Abbey.

I love Isis and Nova. True story - my cousin was almost named Zappa. He was named Jude instead, and they named a dog Zappa.

I do like Isis - although upon reading this sibset I thought, "Hipster alert!" lol

I think moreso for the Zappa than anything else. I mean seriously, who else would he be named after other than Frank? And it doesn't get hipper than Frank!
